Week 26 Review: Perdition

From Goodreads:
WELCOME TO HELL

The prison ship Perdition, a floating city where the Conglomerate's most dangerous criminals are confined for life, orbits endlessly around a barren asteroid.

Life inside is even more bleak. Hailed as the Dread Queen, inmate Dresdemona "Dred" Devos controls one of Perdition's six territories, bordered on both sides by would-be kings eager to challenge her claim. Keeping them at bay requires constant vigilance, as well as a steady influx of new recruits to replace the fallen. Survival is a constant battle, and death is the only escape.

Of the newest convicts, only one is worth Dred's attention. The mercenary Jael, with his deadly gaze and attitude, may be the most dangerous criminal onboard. His combat skill could give her the edge she needs, if he doesn't betray her first. Unfortunately, that's what he does best. Winning Jael's allegiance will be a challenge, but failure could be worse than death…

My Review:
Wow, I just loved reading this book! I kinda wish that I'd read the previous series first, but I didn't know that they were connected until a little while in, and honestly, I don't have time to read those 6 books first, since I read this book as a Readalong, and I'm not going to fit all the books that I want to read, in this month. So I don't really have time to add more books in there.

This book was bloody, gory, dark and just absolutely amazing to read! After all, they're in a prison ship with no chance of leaving alive, and there's not a lot of supplies. And there's gangs with various methods of ruling, some easier to deal with than others. But everyone there, has been convicted on violent, horrible crimes. There's only one person who we know to be innocent, and it's neither of the main characters. Well, technically, Jael wasn't convicted, he was just thrown in there. But he's a unique situation, and he was a mercenary, so he's no stranger to deal and violence.

I really couldn't put this down! There was a bunch of politics, within Queensland, and between the different gangs-and a lot of that was fighting. A bit was the alliance that Dred made, but yeah, a good chunk of this book is fighting. And yeah, they're in a different place when the book ends, and I can't wait to see where they go from here! Because man, it's so fantastic!

The relationship between Dred and Jael, I loved reading about it! He's a newcomer, and she's been the ruler for really only a short period of time, but her gang, because of her leadership (and the advisors that she has) is the best place to be. I loved their interactions, their misunderstandings, and how they worked things out! I can't to read more about them!

I really enjoyed reading this book, and I can't wait to read more of this series, and see how it all ends!
