Week 40 Review: Loch Ness Revenge

From Goodreads:
Deep in the murky waters of Loch Ness, the creature known as Nessie has returned. Twins Natalie and Austin McQueen watched in horror as their parents were devoured by the world's most infamous lake monster. Two decades later, it's their turn to hunt the legend. But what lurks in the Loch is not what they expected. Nessie is devouring everything in and around the Loch, and it's not alone. Hell has come to the Scottish Highlands. In a fierce battle between man and monster, the world may never be the same.

My Review:
This was a great and chilling novella! There's almost no Loch Ness books out there, so I was glad that this one was suggested, it was a quick and easy read, and a thrilling read at that! This book was brutal and bloody, and oh, so entertaining!

Nessie killed Natalie and Austin's parents when they were kids. Now that they're adults, they want revenge. But it's not quite simple as that. Because they're totally unprepared for this monster, and they don't have all the facts. Like how many monsters there are.

This was a hilarious read! August and Natalie are siblings, and the banter between them was hilarious! And just the way it was written, there was a ton of humour in between the carnage. It was just the right balance of gore and humour!

Watching them battle it off with the creatures, it was so entertaining. They were careful in their planning, but that only went so far. It was such a thrill ride envisioning everything going down! And who knows, given that Henrick's family was also killed by monsters that he wants to go after, we could do this again!

I had a great time reading this novella, and I'm really glad that it exists!
