Week 47 Review: Wildefire

From Goodreads:
Every flame begins with a spark.

Ashline Wilde is having a rough sophomore year. She's struggling to find her place as the only Polynesian girl in school, her boyfriend just cheated on her, and now her runaway sister, Eve, has decided to barge back into her life. When Eve's violent behavior escalates and she does the unthinkable, Ash transfers to a remote private school nestled in California's redwoods, hoping to put the tragedy behind her. But her fresh start at Blackwood Academy doesn’t go as planned. Just as Ash is beginning to enjoy the perks of her new school—being captain of the tennis team, a steamy romance with a hot, local park ranger—Ash discovers that a group of gods and goddesses have mysteriously enrolled at Blackwood…and she's one of them. To make matters worse, Eve has resurfaced to haunt Ash, and she's got some strange abilities of her own. With a war between the gods looming over campus, Ash must master the new fire smoldering within before she clashes with her sister one more time… And when warm and cold fronts collide, there's guaranteed to be a storm.

My Review:
I'd already read the first chapter from a teaser thing. Don't remember what, just that it was the first chapter of this book, and I loved it! Didn't realize that I had until halfway through, since I think there was a good time period between the reading and the requesting, that I didn't link the 2 as being the same book, even if I had remembered the little teaser chapter. So that was a good weird.

Loved the idea of reincarnated gods, using the term gods loosely, because they were more like X-Men, then gods, they had powers, they were reincarnated, but they didn't live forever, they lived, and they died.

Ash is a bit wild, which is why her last name, and the title of the book, suit her. And I liked that, it added spunk to the novel. It did get her into a few boy situations, though, situations that she wanted to avoid, simply because they were unpleasant. But oh, well.

Loved the romance, and the ending, they really fit, and it just made the book all the more better! Loved that! Such a great ending! Not going to say what, but really great! But it did hurt a bit, what with the things that she learned!

I really enjoyed reading this book, so I hope you guys check it out!
