Week 49 Review: The Scorpio Races

From Goodreads:
It happens at the start of every November: the Scorpio Races. Riders attempt to keep hold of their water horses long enough to make it to the finish line. Some riders live. Others die.

At age nineteen, Sean Kendrick is the returning champion. He is a young man of few words, and if he has any fears, he keeps them buried deep, where no one else can see them.

Puck Connolly is different. She never meant to ride in the Scorpio Races. But fate hasn't given her much of a chance. So she enters the competition — the first girl ever to do so. She is in no way prepared for what is going to happen.
My Review:
What an amazing book! The water horses and how they're used, and how they're feared, and how they've shaped a civilization, because it seemed like it was a parallel world with these sea horses, with tech that was a bit different, or behind or something, because cars were very rare, and yeah. That would totally suck if you couldn't travel around anywhere!

Anyways, really enjoyed the sea horses, and I hope we get a sequel, or something set in the same world, so we could better understand the sea horses, and their history, since it was kinda mentioned, like mysteries of the island, why the sea horses made the island their home? That would be very nice to know!

Puck and Sean were really excellent characters, they had interesting desires, important ones, and they were willing to fight for them. And for each other. Really loved that!

This was an excellent book, really great, loved reading it, so I hope you guys check it out!
