First Lines Friday #27, January 6th

First Lines Friday is a bookish meme hosted by Literary Marie of Precision Reviews. We encourage all of our fellow book bloggers and bookhearts to play along.

-Grab your current read(s)
-Share the first line(s)
-Include the title and author so that other FLF participants can add the book to their TBR Lists!

"Blue eyes wide, Lady Sandrilene fa Toren watched her near-empty oil lamp. Her small mouth quivered as the flame at the end of the wick danced and shrank, throwing grim shadows on the barrels of food and water that shared her prison. When the flame was gone, she would be without light in this windowless storeroom."-Sandry's Book by Tamora Pierce

Well, that sounds interesting! Wonder why a lady would be doing in a prison!

What about you guys? Happy reading!

  1. I didn't want to post the one that I should've since I'd already done the third line, so it took a while to come back and put a first line in. Opps!

  2. There's the first lines! Sounds dark in a windowless room with no light.

Good luck on your goal of 365 books this year. It's only the 9th and already you've read 17. Wow!

  3. Yeah, just added them :) And it is :)

And thanks! Though I had wanted to read 2 more books, at least! So I'm a bit behind!

I love comments, so comment away! I'll comment back if you leave a post-specific link for me to visit! If you leave that link, I'll always comment back, even if it's like, a month late!

This is an award free blog! Thanks for thinking of me but I just don't have the time to pass it along!
