Week 38 Review: Mysteria

From Goodreads:
Hundreds of years ago, in the mountains of Colorado (just close enough to Denver for great shoe shopping), the small town of Mysteria was "accidentally" founded by a random act of demonic kindness. Over time, it has become a veritable magnet for the supernatural—a place where magic has quietly coexisted with the mundane world.

It's a town like any other town, where the high school's Fighting Fairies give fans something to cheer about, where everyone knows your name—if not exactly what you are—at the local bar, and where the wishing well actually lives up to its name.

Strange occurrences happen every day, but now the ladies of Mysteria are about to unleash a tempest of seduction that will have tongues wagging for centuries to come…

My Review:
I enjoyed reading this book so, so, so much! I read it because of the Gena Showalter story inside, but I enjoyed all of them! The town of Mysteria was such a fascinating setting, and the way this was formatted, was just brilliant, the stories just all came together!

It felt like there was one big story overall within the 4 short stories, what with them set in the same world and town, with mostly the same people. It was really nice to see characters from one short story to the other, and yeah, it made all the stories fuller, and come together for the big overall one that I felt was there.

Of the stories, the Gena Showalter one, and the P.C. Cast one, were my favourites. Well, Gena Showalter, because I know I really her writing, and I've read some of P.C. Cast's books and enjoyed them, so I knew going in I would enjoy them. But I did really enjoy the other stories, too!

I'm really glad that this is a series, because that means that we'll spend more time in this world, with these characters, and new characters, and yeah, have the mystery that is this town explored more! I can't wait for that!

This was a really fantastic anthology I was really glad to read, now to read more!
