My Review:
So fantastic! This was a perfect sequel to Sphinx's Princess, and I just loved everything about it! Though Nefertiti is much stronger then I could ever be! In more ways then one, and she demonstrates this in this book!
I'm still burning over the unfairness that is Thutmose accusing Nefertiti unjustly of committing the crime, and then he beats them to the Pharaoh, which makes pleading her case harder. But in the end, things work out there!
Amenophis is just as perfect as he was in the last book, if not more so! Which is then countered with the change in Thutmose in this book. He was pretty horrible in the last book, but in this one, he was nicer, so it was sad when he died. But I'm not sure that I could've forgiven him like Nefertiti did!
Yes, there's hardship in this book. But there's also friends made-like Thutmose when they were doing those running courses-and other good things. And while the ending of Thutmose's death, and the fact that Amenophis is to be Pharaoh, and Nefertiti is going to marry him, well, that counters the sadness!
Such a great book, and now there's just the Helen of Troy Princess Duology!
