Week 2 Review: Because It Is My Blood

From Goodreads:
Since her release from Liberty Children's Facility, Anya Balanchine is determined to follow the straight and narrow. Unfortunately, her criminal record is making it hard for her to do that. No high school wants her with a gun possession charge on her rap sheet. Plus, all the people in her life have moved on: Natty has skipped two grades at Holy Trinity, Scarlet and Gable seem closer than ever, and even Win is in a new relationship. But when old friends return demanding that certain debts be paid, Anya is thrown right back into the criminal world that she had been determined to escape. It’s a journey that will take her across the ocean and straight into the heart of the birthplace of chocolate where her resolve--and her heart--will be tested as never before.

My Review:
Yes! This book was so good! I enjoyed it so much, such a great sequel, and yeah, I just can't wait for the final book! So things are happening, I mean, Anya wanted out, but circumstances and other people just keep pulling her into things!

Plots just surrounded her! In a way, I'm kinda reminded of the Confessions series, because the Tandy is in a pretty similar situation, and they are pretty similar characters, smart, investigative, and really good at coming up with solutions!

The whole bit when she was there at the coco place, where it was harvested and stuff, and yeah, how that influenced her to have the legal chocolate cafe, yeah, that was just really good! But that affected how things were with Win, seeing as she was working with his dad. So I wonder how that's going to be solved?

That ending was slightly hopeful, with the mar of Win, and yeah, if it wasn't for that, I could almost say that this could've been the final book. But I'm glad it's not, I want to spend more time with these characters, they're so great!

I really enjoyed this book, it was just fantastic, and I can't wait for the final book!
