Week 4 Reviews: Touch the Dark, Claimed by Shadow, Embrace the Night, Curse the Dawn, Hunt the Moon

From Goodreads:
Cassandra Palmer can see the future and communicate with spirits—talents that make her attractive to the dead and the undead. The ghosts of the dead aren't usually dangerous; they just like to talk…a lot.

The undead are another matter.

Like any sensible girl, Cassie tries to avoid vampires. But when the bloodsucking mafioso she escaped three years ago finds Cassie again with vengeance on his mind, she's forced to turn to the vampire Senate for protection.

The undead senators won't help her for nothing, and Cassie finds herself working with one of their most powerful members, a dangerously seductive master vampire—and the price he demands may be more than Cassie is willing to pay....

From Goodreads:
Clairvoyant Cassie Palmer has inherited new magical powers-including the ability to travel through time. But it's a whole lot of responsibility she'd rather not have. Now she's the most popular girl in town, as an assortment of vamps, fey, and mages try to convince, force, or seduce her—and her magic—over to their side. But one particular master vampire didn't ask what Cassie wanted before putting a claim on her. He had a spell cast that binds her to him, and now she doesn't know if what she feels for him is real—or imagined…

From Goodreads:
Cassandra Palmer may be the world's chief clairvoyant, but she's still magically bound to a master vampire. Only an ancient book called the Codex Merlini possesses the incantation to free Cassie-but harnessing its limitless power could endanger the world...

From Goodreads:
Cassandra Palmer may be the all-powerful Pythia now, but that doesn't mean people have stopped trying to kill her. Most of the supernatural power players don't want the independent minded Cassie as chief clairvoyant—and they'll stop at nothing to see her six feet under.

The Vampire Senate does support Cassie in her position, but their protection comes with a price: an alliance with the sexy master vampire Mircea, who has claimed Cassie as his own.

But even the vampires will have trouble keeping Cassie alive now that the self-styled god Apollo, the source of the Pythia's power, has it in for her in a big way. To save her life—and the world—Cassie's going to have to face down her creator…

From Goodreads:
Cassandra Palmer recently defeated a god, which you'd think would buy a girl a little time off. But it doesn't work that way when your new job description is Pythia—the world's chief clairvoyant. Cassie is busier than ever, trying to learn about her power, preparing for her upcoming coronation, and figuring out her relationship with the enigmatic sexy master vampire, Mircea.

But someone doesn't want Cassie to become Pythia, and is willing to go to any lengths to make sure the coronation ceremony never happens—including attacking her mother before Cassie is even born.

My Review:
I'm enjoying this series a lot! I know that the first few books are set before the Dory series, and then they kinda start to alternate, but since I've already read those, I just wanted to read these ones! And I just read them, and kept reading! They were really addicting! I just had to have more!

Cassie gets herself in some pretty bizarre, crazy situations! It's not all her fault, some of it is her parents, and the people that her parents let in both theirs, and her, life. But some of it's Cassie's, by who she now has in her life. Some of it's just too weird for words besides the books themselves!

I loved watching as things went on-like the plot with the connection between Cassie and Mircea, and how because she went to the past, it started then for him, and so he became crazy, and yeah, there was that complication! Loved reading that!

Or how Louis-Cesare is in this book, and how this is going to lead to Midnight's Daughter, a few of the events in these books are going to lead to the Dory series, like the location of the Senate! And I really am going to have to read these books in chronological order!

I really enjoyed reading this series, it's just so fantastic, and I can't wait to read more, these characters and this world is so amazing!
