Week 26 Review: Touch

From Goodreads:
When a strange boy tumbles down a river embankment and lands at her feet, seventeen-year-old adrenaline junkie Deznee Cross snatches the opportunity to piss off her father by bringing the mysterious hottie with ice blue eyes home.

Except there's something off with Kale. He wears her shoes in the shower, is overly fascinated with things like DVDs and vases, and acts like she'll turn to dust if he touches her. It's not until Dez's father shows up, wielding a gun and knowing more about Kale than he should, that Dez realizes there's more to this boy—and her father’s "law firm"—than she realized.

Kale has been a prisoner of Denazen Corporation—an organization devoted to collecting "special" kids known as Sixes and using them as weapons—his entire life. And, oh yeah, his touch? It kills. The two team up with a group of rogue Sixes hellbent on taking down Denazen before they're caught and her father discovers the biggest secret of all. A secret Dez has spent her life keeping safe.

A secret Kale will kill to protect.

My Review:
I enjoyed this book a lot! There were a few things that were a bit hard for me to get into, like the beginning, but once I got through them, well, yeah, things were just smooth sailings! I enjoyed it a lot, it was really great and original!

So there were a few things that were confusing, with everything that was going on, like with that one guy, and how that all turned out, that was just a bit weird, and hard to wrap my head around, what had actually happened there!

That Dez is the first person who Kale meets that he can touch without killing her, well, yeah, that's pretty awesome! Which really helps in their romance! Which was pretty cute, seeing as he's been isolated from popular culture-and pretty much everything that didn't help the objectives of the Denazen Corporation-well, he's a bit clueless, and Dez teaches him!

So that Dez is a Six (though she didn't know the name, she just knew she had the power) well, yeah, that was really great! And what she could do, I think that's really cool, and helpful! Though the whole body changing thing, pretty creepy/scary!

I enjoyed this book a lot, and I can't wait to read more!
