My first review of New York to Dallas
My Review:
Such a great book! I remember a bit of what happened in this book-like her mom, though I'd forgotten that McQueen killed her-and yeah, it was with great pleasure that I read about the team taking McQueen down again! So good!
So this book is a blast into Eve's past, from being in Dallas, and then dealing with McQueen again, the case that did a lot to help her work up the food chain at work, especially since it happened when she was a rookie.
The support that Roarke provides in pretty much every book, is much more meaningful, significant in this book. Eve is dealing with these issues, and while she thought she'd gotten through all of them, well, this case brought them back again, so he was of great help for her!
I felt bad that Eve didn't have a chance to tell her mom that she was her mom, because while her mom was a horrible mom for the short time that she was there, before abandoning her with her dad, she was still her mom. And Eve didn't get a chance to tell her that before McQueen told her that.
Enjoyed rereading this book a lot, it was really great, can't wait to read more!
