Week 51 Review: Rush

From Goodreads:
So what’s the game now? This, or the life I used to know?

When Miki Jones is pulled from her life, pulled through time and space into some kind of game—her carefully controlled life spirals into chaos. In the game, she and a team of other teens are sent on missions to eliminate the Drau, terrifying and beautiful alien creatures. There are no practice runs, no training, and no way out. Miki has only the guidance of secretive but maddeningly attractive team leader Jackson Tate, who says the game isn't really a game, that what Miki and her new teammates do now determines their survival, and the survival of every other person on this planet. She laughs. He doesn't. And then the game takes a deadly and terrifying turn.

My Review:
I loved this book so much! It was so entertaining, and the whole "take teenagers because they're the only ones with brains malleable to this, to fight a war, in a game setting, because they're our descendants" thing! So awesome!

So the action starts up almost immediately, and yeah, there was a nice balance between missions, and real life things, so while in the book, they say that having so many missions in such a short time frame, is weird and unusual, it worked, and yeah, really great pacing!

Jackson, the enigma! Who doesn't want to give her the answers, but some statements, that with, she reasons out some of the world, to understand it, and who says each fighter for themselves, but then takes a blow meant for her, that if she took it, might have, knocked her health into the red, sending her back to die at the point when the game pulled her out of, saving her! (The saving her, I mean for both things, since I can't figure out how to say it to mean that without this plain statement of fact!)

That ending! That he saw her, and knew that she was like him, that she could take her place, which is why he got her into the game? So she could get out? That was hard. And then meeting the committee, that was weird, but interesting! And yeah, that ending! I was so much more! Such a cliffhanger!

This was a fantastic book, lots happen in such a short period of time, but it's so well written, that it seems longer, and shorter, at the same time! So good and loveable!
