Unrequited: Review

From Goodreads:
Seventeen-year-old Kat Hartland loathes Unrequited, the world's biggest boy band. Is she the only girl in Sydney who can't be bothered with perfect-looking Angus Marsden?

Give her 5 Seconds of Summer. Now.

Or maybe the seriously-hot med student who rescued her on a train—and who could be Douglas Booth's twin! Perfect formal partner, much?

But when Kat comes face to face with Angus Marsden himself, things start to get complicated. Very. Throw in a deranged female popstar, final exams, a part in the musical and a mum who just doesn't get it—and where is her best friend?

When did life get so crazy? Kat's just an ordinary schoolgirl.

Isn't she?

My Review:
I really enjoyed this book! It was a lot of fun, and the situations that Kat gets into, they're so funny, because you think they wouldn't happen to just anybody, that they were meant for the stories of movies and shows, where things like this happen. But being in this world, it was real, and yeah, just great!

So yeah, the whole thing, the love square, was just hilarious. Between Kat and Joel, the two main connecting relationships, who meet on a train just before the Unrequited concert, that Kat was the girl in the seat that Angus liked, and her sisters and best friend created "Ella" so to draw Angus to Kat, and then the whole songwriter thing, it just seems like fate. Oh, and then there's Sarah, who's in love with Joel after being best friends with him for years, and who's in theatre together with Kat. Yeah, they're almost all directly connected, except for Sarah and Angus.

Yep, that's a fun situation to be entangled in, from having no boy prospects, to having two, and yeah, I could see an ending with Sarah and Joel together, and Kat and Angus together, and yeah, that's pretty much how it ended, and I really enjoyed that!

One thing that I didn't like so much, was that sometimes the characters would get more emotional then I would think the situation would warrant, thinking in all caps, or blowing things just a bit out of prospective. But yeah, that's the only thing!

This was a pretty great book, a really fun read, and if you like music, then you should really try this one out! Oh, and it's song is Somebody to You by The Vamps, featuring Demi Laovato, the later being the one to get me to try out the song!
