Week 44 Review: At Any Moment

From Goodreads:
It's Dangerous to Go Alone!

Mia Strong never expected to be deciding the rest of her life at age twenty-two. Is she willing to become a human lab rat? Does she need to write a will? Does she ever want a family--and if so, with whom? She can't dodge the tough questions--not if she plans to live to see twenty-three. With her life hanging in the balance, Mia wants nothing more than to rely on Adam Drake, but he's hurt her before.

You Must Gather Your Party Before Venturing Forth…

Adam Drake knows that he's made mistakes, but when he discovers what Mia's facing, he realizes how much those mistakes could cost him. Now he has to choose between being the man who can save Mia's life or the man she can love. No matter how much it tears him apart, Adam knows he has to put Mia first...even if it means he's out of the picture entirely.

Will their love survive this epic battle or is it game over?

My Review:
Oh, I loved this book so much! It was a really great ending to Mia and Adam's story, but also the epilogue set up for the next book, which is either Jordan's only story, or his first one, like At Any Price was for Mia and Adam!

So yeah, things pick up pretty quickly, and Mia has to make a choice-between having the baby and worsening the odds of her surviving the cancer, or terminating the pregnancy and having an 85% survival rate, vs. the 55% that the one doctor gave them. And yeah, that was a hard choice.

And it was something that this book delved into, the feeling that Mia has, that she wasn't worth the effort for her live to survive, that the baby would be worth more. And it's mentioned that this is the same attitude that Mia had when she was attacked in high school. It is something that she works through, though!

I really enjoyed how the quest that's been talked about since the first book, that Mia opened in the last book, is worked through by Mia, Adam, and the rest of the gang, till the ending, which Mia does alone, with a realization from a sweet program that Adam made for her! So good!

Yeah, this was just a really fantastic book, I enjoyed it a lot, and yeah, I can't wait for For the Win!
