Week 13 Reviews: Sleep No More, Sleep of Death

From Goodreads:
The blockbuster film Inception meets Lisa McMann's Wake trilogy in this dark paranormal thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Aprilynne Pike. This novel is also perfect for fans of Kelley Armstrong, Alyson Noel, and Kimberly Derting.

Charlotte Westing has a gift. She is an Oracle and has the ability to tell the future. But it doesn't do her much good. Instead of using their miraculous power, modern-day Oracles are told to fight their visions—to refrain from interfering. And Charlotte knows the price of breaking the rules. She sees it every day in her wheelchair-bound mother and the absence of her father. But when a premonition of a classmate's death is too strong for her to ignore, Charlotte is forced to make an impossible decision: continue following the rules or risk everything—even her sanity—to stop the serial killer who is stalking her town.

From Goodreads:
Oracles can see the future, but are sworn to never interfere. Charlotte Westing learned this lesson the hard way--but after a series of murders in her small town, she's beginning to wonder if she learned too well. Are there some futures Charlotte as a responsibility to change?

When a new girl with strange powers shows up at school on the same day Charlotte has a vision of a grisly double homicide, Charlotte must decide whether the time has come to free herself from the rules of the Sisters of Delphi once and for all. But what will be the price?

My Review:
I really enjoyed reading the both of these! They were just so great, and I loved the idea of Oracles, and then how the world got bigger and bigger, with the end of No More, and then of Death, with the other species that are in this world! So great!

So yeah, really, really enjoyed the idea of the Oracles, and being able to see the future, well, that's a hard thing to deal with! And with the rules that the Sisters have in place, well, it's a mixed bag, because they want to protect people, but they're also stifling them, and over-protecting them, as is the case for Charlotte!

Things go from OK, for Charlotte, to bad, to worse. It sucks, because the bad guy, I knew he was the bad guy! He said that he wouldn't go after her, but that's different from her question to if he was murdering the others! That wasn't answering her question, so I knew he was the bad guy!

Sophie was a really great character! So I'm really glad that we're getting more books, because of Sophie, and because the fact that Charlotte was going to tell her mom about the fact of her being an Oracle! I want to see how that goes!

I just really enjoyed these books so much (though I wish of Death was longer) and I can't wait to read more!
