Week 23 Review: How to Meet Boys

From Goodreads:
Find out what happens when you fall for your best friend's worst enemy in this timeless and hilarious story of a forbidden first love and forever friendship.

Lucy can't wait to spend the summer at the lake with her best friend, Mikayla. But when Jackson, the boy she's been avoiding ever since he rejected her, reappears in her life, Lucy wonders if this summer to remember is one she'd rather forget.

Mikayla's never had much luck talking to boys, but when she (literally) runs into the cutest guy she's ever seen, and sparks fly, she thinks things might be looking up...until she realizes the adorable stranger is the same boy who broke her best friend's heart.

As things begin to heat up between Mikayla and the one guy she should avoid, will Lucy be able to keep her cool or will the girls' perfect summer turn into one hot mess?

Catherine Clark, the author of beach-read favorites Maine Squeeze and Love and Other Things I'm Bad At, has once again crafted a hilarious and spot-on portrayal of what it's really like to be a teenager. Readers will love this irreverent coming-of-age story…and will be breathlessly turning the pages to find out what happens next.

My Review:
I enjoyed reading this book. It was nice and light, and a lot of things besides that! Just a really nice and great book to read! I enjoyed it a lot! Alternating chapters of Lucy and Mikayla, we got the whole story, of friendship, and falling in love with guys!

To be honest, I didn't like how easily one guy, and the girls' relationships with him, affected their relationship with each other. Sure, Lucy kissed Jackson and he rejected her, and the rumours spread about it, but that was in middle school. Seriously. And now that Jackson and Mikayla started dating well, it shouldn't have done it what it did to the girls' friendship.

Especially since Lucy had met a guy of her own, Gus. It was really cute to watch them flirting, it was funny, and a bit weird, and a lot of entertainment to read about! And then when you add in their friend, Ava, well, yeah, really great to read!

I really enjoyed the ending, they'd worked through their issues, and things were fine. Because between the coincidence that the guy that ran into Mikayla was the same Jackson working with Lucy and who had a small past with Lucy, and everything else, yeah, really great ending!

I enjoyed this book, it was a great and entertaining one!
