Week 51 Review: Fragile Line

From Goodreads:
When I'm asleep, I'm afraid someone else might take my place.

It can happen in a flash. One minute she's kissing her boyfriend, the next she's lost in the woods. Sixteen-year-old Ellie Cox is losing time. It started out small…forgetting a drive home or a conversation with a friend. But her blackouts are getting worse, more difficult to disguise as forgetfulness. When Ellie goes missing for three days, waking up in the apartment of a mysterious guy—a guy who is definitely not her boyfriend—her life starts to spiral out of control.

Perched on the edge of insanity, with horrific memories of her childhood leaking in, Ellie struggles to put together the pieces of what she's lost—starting with the name haunting her, Gwen. Heartbreakingly beautiful and intimately drawn, this poignant story follows one girl's harrowing journey to finding out who she really is.

My Review:
Yeah, I really enjoyed reading this book! It was slightly creepy, and I loved the mystery! And it initially felt like it could be a paranormal book, but it wasn't, and that worked! Because that question of what the heck was going on was so compelling to read!

This book had a lot of similarities to The Half Life of Molly Pierce by Katrina Leno, though this book came out about 3 or 4 months before. But I read that one first, so yeah. It's kinda a spoiler for this book if you've read that one, but oh, well, it's been two years since they both came out!

Ellie hasn't had it easy growing up. She was adopted when she was young-but she remembers little from that time. She has scars that she plays with when she's nervous. And then she finds out her parents probably gave her those scars, and that they died in a fire only she survived. Yeah.

I really enjoyed how this story was told. We had Ellie tell her story, and then Gwen, and then the fallout. And yeah, that was really great, because that gave us the mystery and trying to figure it out, and then it explained it, and then got to deal with it! So yeah, that was really great!

Yeah, this was a really fantastic book to read, and I loved it!
