Week 21 Review: Face Off

From Goodreads:
Tortured and left for dead at sixteen, Evelyn Talbot turned her personal nightmare into her life's work—studying the disturbing psychopathy of some of the world's most vicious serial killers. Now a leading psychiatrist at Hanover House in a small Alaskan town, she tries to believe the past will never come back to haunt her—until a woman goes missing from a cabin nearby, and every clue points to the man who once brutalized her…

As her boyfriend, who is the area's only police, begins to investigate—and finds not one but two bodies—Evelyn can't forget that her would-be killer, Jasper Moore, was never caught. But there are no new faces in tiny Hilltop, no one who seems suspicious or potentially violent. In this twisted game of cat and mouse, Evelyn is certain of only one thing—Jasper must be hiding in plain sight. And if she can't find him before he comes for her, she won't be lucky enough to survive twice…

My Review:
Yeah! I really enjoyed reading this book, it's the culmination of all the previous books regarding the Jasper plot line, as far as this book goes. Who knows in the future? I was really looking forward to this book, so of course I had to read it on my birthday!

Finally, the book where Jasper finally comes after Evelyn in Alaska! It's been something that's been built up since the beginning, and after the events of the last book, I had to know how it'd play out! There were a lot of cat and mouse vibes!

One thing that I really enjoyed was that we got to met Evelyn's sister. And her current situation is a pretty bad one, and I really enjoyed the elements that she brought! It made things difficult for Evelyn, but conflict drives books!

This book was more of a mental head game then previous books, more mental tension then physical, in danger stuff. Whether or not he would get away with his current actions. Would they discover who Jasper now? Which was fitting, because Jasper's kinda been haunting Evelyn since she survive what he did to her. I loved how it all culminated!

Loved this book so much, it was so fantastic, and I can't wait for the next book!
