Week 32 Reviews: Dreamfall, Neverwake

From Goodreads:
A Nightmare on Elm Street meets Inception in this gripping psychological thriller from international bestselling author Amy Plum. Seven teenagers who suffer from debilitating insomnia agree to take part in an experimental new procedure to cure it because they think it can't get any worse. But they couldn't be more wrong.

When the lab equipment malfunctions, the patients are plunged into a terrifying dreamworld where their worst nightmares have come to life—and they have no memory of how they got there. Hunted by monsters from their darkest imaginations and tormented by secrets they'd rather keep buried, these seven strangers will be forced to band together to face their biggest fears. And if they can't find a way to defeat their dreams, they will never wake up.

Dreamfall is perfect for fans of dark and edgy young adult novels from authors like Danielle Vega, Natasha Preston, Kendare Blake, and Madeleine Roux. It is the first book in a spine-tingling duology full of action, suspense, and horror that's sure to keep readers on the edge of their seat until the very last page.

From Goodreads:
For most people, nightmares always come to an end. But for Cata, Ant, and the others, there may be no escape from theirs. After an experimental treatment meant to cure their insomnia went horribly wrong, the teens were dragged into a shared dreamworld where their most terrifying fears became reality.

The six of them have no way of waking up. And they're beginning to realize that if they die here, they might actually die in the real world. One of the dreamers is already gone, and anyone could be next. The only thing they know for certain is that they have to work together to survive. But as they learn the truth about one another's pasts, they soon discover they are trapped with something far worse than their nightmares….

My first review of Dreamfall
My Review:
Oh, I loved reading these books! It'd been a while since I'd first read Dreamfall, so I had to read these two books back to back! Which was so great, because these do take place over the course of mostly a day. Very fast paced, but so freaking amazing to read!

Dreamfall was so great to read, I remembered the whole 20 minutes, 50 minutes thing, but I kept getting confused with matching it up with which part of sleep it was. So yeah, getting that back, that made it so much easier, and so great to read!

After the ending to Dreamfall, I really couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next! And it picked up right away, with the whole psychopath thing, as well as the various nightmares that they were going through!

So while we didn't find out whether Jaime was a girl or boy or not, we did get to go on this adventure! I loved how Jaime gathered all the data and found a way to get them out of Dreamfall, even though she/he had to go around the researchers to do so! It was very tense, given what exactly Jaime had to do!

Loved reading these books, and I can't wait to read more from Amy Plum!
