Week 8 Review: Honor Bound

From Goodreads:
Zara Cole was a thief back on Earth, but she's been recently upgraded to intergalactic fugitive. On the run after a bloody battle in a covert war that she never expected to be fighting, Zara, her co-pilot Beatriz, and their Leviathan ship Nadim barely escaped the carnage with their lives. Now Zara and her crew of Honors need a safe haven, far from the creatures who want to annihilate them. But with two wounded Leviathan to treat, plus human and non-human refugees to help, they'll have to settle for the nearest outpost, called the Sliver: a wild, dangerous warren of alien criminals. Zara's skills from the Zone may be invaluable. However, Zara discovers that the secrets of the Sliver may have the power to turn the tide of the war they left behind—but in the wrong direction. Soon Zara will have to make a choice: stand against the ultimate evil or run from it. But she's never walked away from a fight.

Honor Bound is the second installment in Rachel Caine and Ann Aguirre's thrilling and fresh space saga.

My Review:
Loved reading this book so much! The first book was one of the top top reads of 2017, I loved it so much, and I was really looking forward to this book! We learned more about the bonds and went in deeper with them, and got to know Yusuf and Starcurrent better, which was nice, and they were pretty important to the plot!

It was a slow start, but it builds pretty quickly, as we explore more of this world! We explored the underbelly of the universe, the Sliver, and meet different races, which was pretty interesting! And we also had asides that added background information, like an unofficial guide, and oh, some of the goings on on Earth that are pretty important to Zara, given that it's Derry. But I'm wondering if it can be used against the bad guy...

We learned more about the , and we also gained another enemy. Remember those ruins that Zara and Bea explore in the first book? Yeah, they were caused by this guy's race. And what this guy can do, it's pretty horrible. And what makes it worse is that he had been asleep before they woke him up. Boo.

That ending was evil! It just ends, and yeah, it's a pretty humongous cliffhanger ending! I mean, they're about to go into battle, there's a big threat, and yeah, I just need the final book! The wait for True Honor is going to be evil, because I just want to know what's going to happen next, and how it's going to end!

This book was freaking fantastic, and I can't wait for True Honor!
