Week 34 Review: Archangel's Prophecy

From Goodreads:
Return to New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh's darkly passionate Guild Hunter world, where human-turned-angel Elena Deveraux, consort to Archangel Raphael, is thrust center stage into an eons-old prophecy....

Midnight and dawn, Elena's wings are unique among angelkind…and now they're failing. The first mortal to be turned into an immortal in angelic memory, she’s regressing. Becoming more and more human. Easier to hurt. Easier to kill.

Elena and Raphael must unearth the reason for the regression before it's too late and Elena falls out of the sky. Yet even as they fight a furious battle for Elena's very survival, violent forces are gathering in New York and across the world.

In China, the Archangel Favashi is showing the first signs of madness. In New York, a mysterious sinkhole filled with lava swallows a man whole. In Africa, torrential monsoon rains flood rolling deserts. And in Elena's mind whispers a haunting voice that isn't her own.

This time, survival may not be possible…not even for the consort of an archangel.

My first review of Archangel's Prophecy
My Review:
Yeah, I had to read to read this book again! I deliberately didn't read it again when I was doing my reread of this series earlier in the year, because I wanted to read it back to back with Archangel's War. So I'm putting it out into the universe by reading this book. But it's coming out in a month, so either way, I don't have much longer to wait!

I remembered most of the broad strokes of this book, like Cassandra, and who the murderer was. Or like the fact that there were no previous Angel-Made's, Elena is the first one. That it was a prophecy about her that had that information floating around. Yeah, that was kinda a bombshell that made perfect sense! And has me wondering about future couples who could also have an Angel-Made!

I did forget smaller details-like why Harrison was targeted. Or how the whole thing with the "you must die for another to live" thing happened, and that the book continued. Which was why I knew I had to reread this book, to have those details fresh in my mind for War.

Again, that ending hit me hard! It's such an intense ending, and yeah, there's the question of what things are going to be like after all this, because they're not going to be the same. It was a pretty desperate move, and I need to know what's going to happen next!

Loved this book so freaking much, and I can't wait for Archangel's War, I need to know how things are going to end!
