Week 30 Review: Six of Crows

From Goodreads:
Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can't pull it off alone. . . .

A convict with a thirst for revenge.

A sharpshooter who can't walk away from a wager.

A runaway with a privileged past.

A spy known as the Wraith.

A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums.

A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes.

Six dangerous outcasts. One impossible heist. Kaz's crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destruction—if they don't kill each other first.

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo returns to the breathtaking world of the Grishaverse in this unforgettable tale about the opportunity—and the adventure—of a lifetime.

My Review:
Oh man, it was really fantastic to read this book! I've been putting it off for a while now-because I have the original trilogy in regular size hardcover, and when this series came out, it was in oversized, and I guess I just didn't read an ebook, and then it was so long since I last read the first 3 books that I had to reread them first. Well, I did that, and then I got to read this book and it was so fantastic!

First off, it was fantastic to see more of this world. It was very focused on Ravka in those 3 books, and on Grisha-based problems. This book is more diverse, in more than one way. We see so many more cultures in this book, more countries, and different people. I loved this cast of characters!

The fact that pretty much all of them are criminals was pretty interesting to read, because they're not morally white, and they're more of a dark grey. I loved watching them interact, the different relationships, because there were a few that were pretty intense, with some very strong feelings!

That ending! Man, that ending was just a killer! I enjoyed reading it so much, but it was a bit hard to read, given all that they worked for, for it to come to that place. Plus there were a few sticky situations to resolve, and I can't read Crooked Kingdom until September! Which isn't as bad as the wait between the two books being published, but still!

Loved reading this book! I just still have the problem of getting this series in the same format!
