Week 39 Review: Leopard's Wrath

My Review:
Yeah, this was a another really good book in this series. While this series and the Torpedo Ink aren't my favourite from Christine Feehan, what with the alpha male stuff to the max going on, well, the characters and their interactions really make or break it for me. And this one, at the very least, didn't  break it for me!

There were points where I was really ticked off at Mitya. Like right near the beginning, they don't really even know each other but his leopard has claimed hers, and there's this big emotional scene, and while I get that he didn't have a good dad, she does, and he's not as kind as he should've been in the situation. And afterwards in her thoughts, she calls herself names. And I'm like, no, you weren't, you are grieving and stressed and trying to keep your dad alive. Give yourself some space. Bah!

Mitya's dad was the leader of the brothers, it seemed from this book (and I don't remember from the other books whether this is true or not.) And that his son betrayed him, well, he was a lurking threat in this book, and I just wanted to find out if he would emerge!

This book mainly focuses on the romance between these two, as has been the trend for this series since about book 6. And then there's the big battle at the end that's really intense. Which is another reason why this series isn't my favourite, but it was still an enjoyable read, and I can't wait to read the next book, which I need to, because I got it as an ARC!

But I am excited about the direction this series is going in. For the last few books, there's been the conspiracy that the good guys have cooked up on taking over crime territories, and dismantling the worst of it, and lowering the not so great parts. But in this book, a enemy is introduced, well, we learn that they exist, and not much else, and it'll be interesting how that plays out in the future!

I enjoyed this book, it was a great read, and I can't wait to read more!
