Week 48 Review: The Falling in Love Montage

My Review:
This was just such a fun read! I loved reading about Saorise, a girl who doesn't want to fall in love, she doesn't trust in it because of her parents, but also, she's scared of it, scared that what is happening to her mom, will happen to her. And Ruby smashes that to bits, and it was a delight to read!

I felt bad for Saorise, it's not like her mom chose to have her brain betray her. But it's been a snowball, gathering speed and knocking down Saorise's life, from basically losing her mom, to her dad's new relationship, they're going to have to move, she's going to college soon, but scared about it all, and all these changes and fears all come back to what's happening to her mom. And it sucks.

But her relationship with Ruby was just so stinking cute! I just adored these two together! Even though  a relationship is exactly what Saorise doesn't want, there's something about Ruby-besides her smarts and finding that loophole-that I just adored reading about! And while Saorise doesn't always make the best choices because of her fear, well, that's just means there's a place for character growth!

This book was true to life-not all relationships are sunshine and roses, like the one between her and her dad. And romantic relationships don't last forever, like Saorise and Ruby, and they knew going in that this would be a summer fling. So it was a little bittersweet, but I really liked it!

I had a great time reading this book, it was a really great read!
