Week 22 Review: Wires and Nerves, Volume 1

From Goodreads:
The first graphic novel from #1 New York Times and USA Today bestseller Marissa Meyer!

In her first graphic novel, bestselling author Marissa Meyer extends the world of the Lunar Chronicles with a brand-new, action-packed story about Iko, the android with a heart of (mechanized) gold. When rogue packs of wolf-hybrid soldiers threaten the tenuous peace alliance between Earth and Luna, Iko takes it upon herself to hunt down the soldiers' leader. She is soon working with a handsome royal guard who forces her to question everything she knows about love, loyalty, and her own humanity. With appearances by Cinder, Cress, Scarlet, Winter, and the rest of the Rampion crew, this is a must-have for fans of the bestselling series.

My Review:
I loved reading this book! I love the original Lunar Chronicles series, and to have a continuation following Iko, in graphic novel format, I was interested, but I had no source to read them. And then I found them while thrifting, so that was excellent!

That this follows Iko, I'm really glad, she was a really great character, but we didn't get a chance to focus on her-and now we have. She has a body that is humanoid, and she has emotions that if she was human, would be normal-but are written off because she's an android. Which was pretty frustrating.

Watching Iko deal with this rogue pack of soldiers was really entertaining! She's done a lot for the peace between Luna and Earth, but she hasn't been counted. And oh, there's the whole thing with Kinney, I loved their dynamics!

We did get to see bits and pieces of the lives of our beloved characters, when things kicked off, when Iko's path merged with theirs, they weren't the focus, but it was really great to see them. And they did have a hand in helping with everything going on, which was fantastic!

Loved reading this graphic novel, and I can't wait to continue!
