My Review:
Oh, man, it was so great to read this story! I've heard such great things about it, and I got prompted to read it, so yeah, I picked it up, and couldn't put it down. It was such a wild ride, so much sex and violence, and heavy topics-and centered around a family, just trying to survive! It's such a great read!

I really enjoyed following Marko and Alana, and baby Hazel, and watching snippets of her life, watching her grow up. There was a huge cast of characters, some of whom only briefly interacted, or interacted with others, but there needed to be, given that there is this huge war, the reason why the family is on the run, and how many people are killed.

There's a lot of moral questions that come up, about peace and war and violence, as well as other topics like abortion, and the ends justifying the means. There are some characters that I hate-like The Will, because he just doesn't learn. Ianthe, too, because she killed Sweet Boy, and that's utterly unforgiveable. And then there's others like Robot Prince IV, who I didn't like as a character-but his one liners were spectacular!

I do kinda wish that we'd get the translations of the Blue Language (real life Esperanto), because sometimes what my searches came up with didn't quite make sense. And I was going back and forth between tabs before changed things up and was doing the translation on my phone. It slowed down the reading experience.

There are so many brutal moments, so many characters that we come to care for, only for them to be pretty brutally murdered. Like the end of Volume 9, in issue 54. It makes me feel bad for those that were reading it in real time-the wait will be over 3 years for seeing what happens next, and that has to be brutal! Mine is going to be less then a year, it looks like!

Loved reading these stories, and I'm so excited for when it'll come back!
