Week 26 Review: Heartstopper: Volume One, Heartstopper: Volume Two, Heartstopper: Volume Three, Heartstopper: Volume Four

From Goodreads:
Boy meets boy. Boys become friends. Boys fall in love. A sweet and charming coming-of-age story that explores friendship, love, and coming out.

Shy and softhearted Charlie Spring sits next to rugby player Nick Nelson in class one morning. A warm and intimate friendship follows, and that soon develops into something more for Charlie, who doesn't think he has a chance.

But Nick is struggling with feelings of his own, and as the two grow closer and take on the ups and downs of high school, they come to understand the surprising and delightful ways in which love works.

Nick and Charlie are best friends. Nick knows Charlie's gay, and Charlie is sure that Nick isn't.

But love works in surprising ways, and Nick is discovering all kinds of things about his friends, his family ... and himself.

Charlie didn't think Nick could ever like him back, but now they're officially boyfriends. Nick has even found the courage to come out to his mom.

But coming out isn't something that happens just once, and Nick and Charlie try to figure out when to tell their friends that they're dating. Not being out to their classmates gets even harder during a school trip to Paris. As Nick and Charlie's feelings get more serious, they'll need each other more than ever.

The fourth volume in the wonderfully sweet Heartstopper series, featuring gorgeous two-color artwork!

Charlie and Nick's relationship has been going really well, and Charlie thinks he's ready to say those three little words: I love you.

Nick feels the same way, but he's got a lot on his mind -- especially the thought of coming out to his dad and the fact that Charlie might have an eating disorder.

As a new school year begins, Charlie and Nick will have to learn what love really means.

My Review:
Oh, I had a fantastic time reading these stories! I've heard so much good things about this series, but I'm not much for printed visual stories. I've gotten into some graphic novels, though, so it's June, it's Pride month, what better time to pick up this series!

Nick and Charlie are just so adorable! I loved watching them fall in love, of Charlie figuring out his sexuality, of their developing relationship! They were just so gosh darned cute together! I totally understand why people love this series so much!

Some of the story between these volumes kinda blended together, I just devoured these one right after the other, so it's hard to remember what was in which volume, thought the first one was more their beginnings, the second was Charlie on the path of bisexuality, the third was the Paris trip, and the fourth was serious relationship questions, and Nick's eating habits. Or that's how they are recalled in my mind.

While there are some really cute moments in this book (I love Charlie's dog) there are also some serious moments. Like Nick's eating disorder. Nick's relationship with his parents, especially his mom. They're not horrible, but they don't really know how to deal with him.

These were all so excellent to read, and I can't wait for more!
