Week 39 Review: The Darkest Craving

From Goodreads:
Having endured weeks of torture in the bowels of hell, Kane wants nothing to do with his beautiful rescuer, Josephina Aisling. The half-Fae female threatens to awaken the demon of Disaster inside him—a beast he's determined to kill, no matter the price.

Josephina is hunted by a brutal enemy—her royal family—and Kane is her only source of protection. He's also the only male to ever set her aflame, and even he succumbs to the heat. But as they navigate the treacherous world of the Fae, they are forced to make a choice: live apart…or die together.

My first review of The Darkest Craving
My Review:
Of course I loved reading this book again! It's weird that this is the first time that I've reread this book, because my last big reread of the series happened before and during when this book came out. And it's been a decade plus a month since I first read it, yeah, it was basically like reading it for the first time.

Kane has been through the wringer in the last few books, in hell, being prisoner of not only Disasters' minions, but also William's kids, and yeah, he's dealing with a lot. And then Josephine recues him and his path is changed, though it takes him a while to realize it.

The way that she was treated, was just awful. And this was coming from her father, and who apparently thought this was an honor, to take the punishments of his other child when she misbehaved. It was just so infuriating! And of course Kane was of a similar mind.

I loved reading how they dealt with everything, from the King, to the phoenix, to his demon, and how it all worked out, it was just so lovely to read after all that they went through, they definitely deserved a happy ending!

Loved reading this book so much, and I can't wait to continue on!
