Week 8 Review: Bride

From Goodreads:
A dangerous alliance between a Vampyre bride and an Alpha Werewolf becomes a love deep enough to sink your teeth into in this new paranormal romance.

Misery Lark, the only daughter of the most powerful Vampyre councilman of the Southwest, is an outcast—again. Her days of living in anonymity among the Humans are over: she has been called upon to uphold a historic peacekeeping alliance between the Vampyres and their mortal enemies, the Weres, and she sees little choice but to surrender herself in the exchange—again...

Weres are ruthless and unpredictable, and their Alpha, Lowe Moreland, is no exception. He rules his pack with absolute authority, but not without justice. And, unlike the Vampyre Council, not without feeling. It's clear from the way he tracks Misery's every movement that he doesn't trust her. If only he knew how right he was….

Because Misery has her own reasons to agree to this marriage of convenience, reasons that have nothing to do with politics or alliances, and everything to do with the only thing she's ever cared about. And she is willing to do whatever it takes to get back what's hers, even if it means a life alone in Were territory…alone with the wolf.

My Review:
This book was so much fun to read! I've really loved her STEM romances, and most recently Check & Mate, but this is her first published paranormal book, and yeah, I was interested to see what she was going to do with it, and yeah, this book was so great to read!

This world, with the Human, Vampyre, and Were territories, with uneasy alliances, set in a pretty modern world, where they were different species that existed alongside humans, it as such an interesting setting. Especially since her marriage was of political machinations to be collateral, meaning, if there was war, she'd be the first, or second, killed. Not a good position.

But she wanted to be part of this arraignment for one reason, and one reason only-to look into the disappearance of her best friend, basically her sister. So there was plenty going on plot-wise, not to mention the relationship between her and Lowe!

The thing that I loved most about this book was at the start of each chapter, there was an epigraph, which took me a minute to figure out what it was, that it was Lowe's thoughts, and I loved what it added to the book so much!

Loved reading this book, and if we get more books in this world, I'll definitely read them!
