Week 21 Review: Cry of the Banshee

From Goodreads:
From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Heather Graham comes a new story in her Krewe of Hunters series…

Strange things are happening at Castle Darien, the legendary home of Angela Hawkins Crow's family just outside of Dublin, Ireland.

People are dying in the most unusual drowning where there's no water, falling from heights that don't exist…

But before every death, the banshee lets out a cry, warning that loved ones are in danger. The Irish death ghost's haunting shrieks and sobs echo within the ancient stone walls and travel up and down the hillsides.

Terrified and broken after the death of a friend, Moira Hawkins, Angela's second cousin, turns to her family for help, convinced that evil is at work and sure the Krewe of Hunters can determine what is happening and put an end to the strange and deadly haunting.

Angela is mystified and stricken, but she and Jackson travel to the Emerald Isle to investigate, certain that someone very much alive is behind whatever is going on.

But she and the Krewe just might need the dead to uncover the truth.

My Review:
I really enjoyed reading this book! I really enjoy this series, and I think it's just about over, and we're moving more into the spin offs. That this book features the original couple, Angela and Jackson, and takes place in Ireland, yeah, that was a great connection to the Europe-based spin off series!

We've previously had some of these novellas take place overseas, but I'm pretty sure that this is the first of them that was connected to the original couple, Angela and Jackson. And the way that the supernatural plays a role in this story was so good!

This mystery was really intriguing, because there was the whole cry of the banshee thing, and that it's a place where tourists can explore, which complicated the matter of who was behind it. I loved watching them investigate and figure it out!

One thing that I'm wondering, is if this series is functionally over. Since these past two years have had a trilogy come out, that are spin offs of this one. There is a good chance that we'll continue to get novellas like this in the future, but I don't think we're going to get a full length book again (at least, I hope not, because while the concept is good, it stretches the imagination to have this many people who can see ghosts and are interested in being in the law enforcement line of work. At least in the US, and going abroad opens up that population.) Yeah.

Loved reading this book and I can't wait to read more of this world!
