Becca's BookoplAthon Roll as You Go Round 2024 Sign Up

This is the 4th year, and thus my tradition, as long as the month long version of BookoplAthon is September, I'll do a month of Roll as You Go in October! Like last year, the main round is now October, but I used this board in September with a set amount of rolls, so it's the same for me!

With the end of the September Round, I ended up on Go, so that's where I'm going to start from here. I'll be adding what rolls I get, and what book I choose here, though I'll also be putting that next roll once I finish a book.

Day 1, Roll 1:
A 9, which gets me to Present. I'm going with The Wrong Bride by Gena Showalter and Jill Monroe, I just want to read it very badly right now! (I rolled this a few days ago, so I knew what I was getting and could plan it out.)

Day 1, Roll 2:
A 9, which gets me to Community Shelf, Using a random list generator, I got Read a book written by a female author. I'm going with Scribbled in Margins by Forthright, Forthright is a female author, so that works!


Day 2, Roll 3:
A 8, which gets me to Ghost Tour. I'm going with Killers of a Certain Age by Deanna Raybourn, this has flashbacks to their past, that works for this prompt! 

Day 3, Roll 4:
A 9, which gets me to Stabby. I'm going with Kills Well With Others by Deanna Raybourn, this about a group of older women assassins, so that's pretty stabby to me!

Day 4, Roll 5:
A 6, which gets me to Go. I went with my monthly TBR and got How to Survive Your Murder by Danielle Valentine, and I can't wait, it sounds really good! 

Day 5, Roll 6:

A 6, which gets me to Past. I chose Fumiko and the Finicky Nestmate by Forthright, it was on my TBR before, and I read it, and now it's time to read it again! 

Day 6, Roll 7:
A 6, which gets me to Poll. I made a poll, and There's Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins won, so I'll be reading that! 

Day 7, Roll 8:
A 9, which gets me to Pentacle. I chose First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston, I think I'm going to love it! I changed it out to Serial Killer Games by Kate Posey.

Day 8, Roll 9:
A 7, which gets me to Mood Read. I chose A Pirate's Life for Tea by Rebecca Thorne! I'm really in the mood to read it, I want to read it!  

Day 9, Roll 10:
A 9, which gets me to Big Book. I chose A Cruel and Fated Light by Ashley Shuttleworth, it's over 600 pages, so it's definitely a big book!

Day 10, Roll 11:
A 8, which gets me to Pumpkin Carving. I chose Vera Wong's Guide to Snooping (On a Dead Man) by Jesse Q. Sutanto, it's got a illustration of Vera peering out, so it has her face on it! 

Day 11, Roll 12:
A 9, which gets me to Ghostface. I chose Whispers Most Foul by Emma MacDonald, whispers is a noise word, so that works!

Day 12, Roll 13:
A 7, which gets me to Pentacle. I chose Tea You at the Altar by Rebecca Thorne, I know I'm going to love it! 

Day 13, Roll 14:
A 7, which gets me to Dice Roll Roulette. Here's what I rolled:
A 8. I chose Halloween for Six by Kelly Finley, it's 412 pages, so that's in the range.

Day 14, Roll 15:
A 5, which gets me to Seance. The letter that I got was D. I chose Don't Fear the Reaper by Stephen Graham Jones, Don't starts with D, so that works! 

Day 15, Roll 16:

A 7, which gets me to Community Shelf. Using a random list generator, I got Read a book with a one-word title, I chose Januaries by Olivie Blake! 

Day 15, Roll 17:
A 6, which gets me to Present. I chose First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston, I want to read it! But that's doubles, so I have to do another roll.

Day 15, Roll 18:
A 5, which gets me to Jason Voorhees. I chose A Very Bad Thing by J.T. Ellison, that's 13 letters in the title! 

Day 16, Roll 19:
A 7, which gets me to Feed Scroll. What came up was When The Moon Hatched by Sarah Parker, which I saw here.

Day 17, Roll 20:
A 2, which gets me to Chance Card. The random item list selector picked All Fall Down by Ally Carter, so that's what I'll be reading! But that's doubles, so I have to do another roll.

Day 17th, Roll 21:
A 5, which gets me to Grady Hendrix. I went with My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix, again, the prompt is named after him and his writing, so it fits the prompt!

Day 18, Roll 22:
A 5, which gets me to Stabby. I went with Lying in the Deep by Diana Urban, this is listed as a thriller, and there's a bloody handprint on the cover!

Day 19, Roll 23:
A 11, which gets me to Pumpkin Carving. I went with The Beyond by Chloe Neill, this has the main character standing there, so it has her face on it! 

Day 20, Roll 24:
A 3, which gets me to Present. I went with The Hob's Bargain by Patricia Briggs, I just really want to read it again! 

Day 21, Roll 25:
A 10, which gets me to Blood. I went with Lucy Undying by Kiersten White, I have to make a case for it, her dress, the sky in the window, her lipstick, and the bite marks-actual blood, is red, so I'm counting it! 

Day 22, Roll 26:
A 10, which gets me to Mood Read. I went with A Wild and Ruined Song by Ashley Shuttleworth, I want to read it! But that's doubles, so I have to do another roll.

Day 22, Roll 27:
A 3, which gets me to Spoopy. I chose The Wedding Witch by Erin Sterling, this is a rom com with witches, so that's spoopy to me!

Day 23, Roll 28:
A 12, which gets me to Small Book. I chose Stalked by the Kraken by Lillian Lark, it's 252 pages, so that works! But that's doubles, so I have to do another roll.

Day 23, Roll 29:
A 8, which gets me to Leatherface. I chose Deceived by the Gargoyles by Lillian Lark, the synopsis talks about her family, and the one that she wants to make! 

Day 24, Roll 30:
A 5, which gets me to Black. I chose The Angel of Indian Lake by Stephen Graham Jones, the cover is mainly black, so that works! 

Day 25, Roll 31:
A 5, which gets me to Pentacle. I chose The Demon's Queen by Katee Robert, I just want to read it, and I know I'll love it! 

Day 26, Roll 32:
A 8, which gets me to Shirley Jackson. I chose One House Left by Vincent Ralph, it has a house on it. But that's doubles, so I have to do another roll.

Day 26, Roll 33:
A 6, which gets me to Seance. A random letter generator gave me G, so I went Getting Down on the Farm Vol. 1 by Kathryn Moon, Getting starts with G!

Day 27, Roll 34:
A 8, which gets me to Small Book. I chose Books & Broadswords, Volume One by Jessie Mihalik, it's 154 pages so it's small! 

Day 28, Roll 35:
A 10, which gets me to Jason Voorhees. I chose A Fire in the Sky by Sophie Jordan, that's a 13 letter long title!

Day 29, Roll 36:
A 6, which gets me to Bone. I chose The Naturalist Society by Carrie Vaughn, the background, the primary colour, is cream, which is about the colour of bone!

Day 30, Roll 37:
A 10, which gets me to Mood Read. I chose In the Lives of Puppets by T.J. Klune, I want to read it!

Day 30, Roll 38:
A 5, which gets me to Community Shelf, Using a random list generator, I got Read a book that fulfills a reading goal. I chose Illustrated Girl by Josephine Angelini, it fulfills my goal of catching up with authors!  

Day 31, Roll 39:
A 4, which gets me to Big Book. I chose Only Cold Depths by Jennifer Estep, it's 504 pages, so that works! But that's doubles, so I have to do another roll.

Day 31, Roll 40:
A 11, which gets me to Present. I want to read Unequal Affections by Lara S. Ormiston, so that works! 

Day 31, Roll 41:
A 8, which gets me to Black. I chose A Shift in Darkness by Maddox Grey, it has a black cover!
