Week 33 Review: Innocent Darkness

From Goodreads:
Wish. Love. Desire. Live.

Sixteen-year-old Noli Braddock's hoyden ways land her in an abusive reform school far from home. On mid-summer's eve she wishes to be anyplace but that dreadful school. A mysterious man from the Realm of Faerie rescues her and brings her to the Otherworld, only to reveal that she must be sacrificed, otherwise, the entire Otherworld civilization will perish.

My Review:
This book was just pure awesomeness! I loved reading every world! I loved reading about Noli, and everyone around her, and being in this world! There were a lot of twists and turns, and it was just so fantastic to read it!

This is a historical book, which is why Noli is referred to as a hoyden, and has to go to the reform school. But it's different from our world in a few ways. Like the aether, and what machines have come from that. Oh, and then the Otherworld, and the creatures that inhabit there!

Then there's the twist about her friend. Because yeah, he's a Faerie. Oh, and his mom is the Queen, and is the one that's looking for the sacrifice and all. So yeah, that's a pretty sucky situation. But it's not the suckiest.

The suckiest, is that the solution they come up with is just temporary, and yeah, that is really, really bad. But the good news is that we get more books, that this is a series, and we get to spend more time in this world with these characters!
