Week 8 Review: The Girl in the Clockwork Collar

From Goodreads:
In New York City, 1897, life has never been more thrilling - or dangerous.

Sixteen-year-old Finley Jayne and her "straynge band of mysfits" have journeyed from London to America to rescue their friend Jasper, hauled off by bounty hunters. But Jasper is in the clutches of a devious former friend demanding a trade-the dangerous device Jasper stole from him...for the life of the girl Jasper loves.

One false move from Jasper and the strange clockwork collar around Mei's neck tightens. And tightens.

My first review of The Girl in the Clockwork Collar
My Review:
Loved rereading this book! It was so good, and yeah, it was Mei with the title and the cover, but Jasper plays a huge role in it, seeing as he was in love with Mei, once upon a time, and there was a chance at the romance-but Mei wasn't what she seemed. She was basically evil, at least, working for the evil.

We got to meet Tesla, and that was pretty cool, though he was pretty insane, the machine he built, for a person to die, to see the other side, and then be brought back. Yeah, that's just something that shouldn't happen!

I loved Finley and Mei's fight, and how we first really see the true face of Mei there, and yeah, that was a pretty awesome scene, we got to see Finley kick some butt! Another scene where that happened was when Finley and Jasper had a scene where they fight some of Wildcat's gang, for them to gain entry for a meeting with Wildcat.

And while the ending, was bittersweet with Mei dying because she was too slow, and Griffin turned off the machine. And yeah, then Jasper has to take the body back, and yeah, that's not fun, but it happened, and yeah, they have to deal with it.

Yeah, this was a pretty spectacular book, and I can't wait for the next one!!!
