Week 37 Reviews: Maddie's Tattoo, Awaken

From Goodreads:
A prequel to AWAKEN, this provocative short story explains the history behind Maddie's tattoo, and sets up events in the final instalment of the trilogy.

From Goodreads:
Maddie lives in a world where everything is done on the computer. Whether it's to go to school or on a date, people don't venture out of their home. There's really no need. For the most part, Maddie's okay with the solitary, digital life—until she meets Justin. Justin likes being with people. He enjoys the physical closeness of face-to-face interactions. People aren't meant to be alone, he tells her.

Suddenly, Maddie feels something awakening inside her—a feeling that maybe there is a different, better way to live. But with society and her parents telling her otherwise, Maddie is going to have to learn to stand up for herself if she wants to change the path her life is taking.

In this not-so-brave new world, two young people struggle to carve out their own space.

My first review of Awaken
My Review:
Reading Awaken again, that was really great! I enjoyed everything that happened in them, because I just really want to read more of this series! Because I know more is going to happen-I want to know what it's going to be!

Maddie's Tattoo, I hadn't read before. But I'm so glad that I did, because like the synopsis says, it tells the story of her tattoo, obviously, and it sets up events for the rest of the series, including, apparently, the last book in the trilogy, which is freaking awesome!

I really enjoyed her and Justin together! She has a brain, but she's been trying to conform herself to society's standards-which isn't her. And it comes out in what she says. While Justin has a similar, but on the opposite side of the situation, problem, that she helps him deal with, while he helps her. That was just fantastic!

Yeah, so fantastic to read these books, and I have to read more of this series soon-it's so great!
