Week 18 Review: Fire Bound

From Goodreads:
The #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Sea Haven novels returns to the circle of the six sisters of the heart, bound by the elements—and to one who possesses the power to inflame the most dangerous passions of all.

Flame-haired Lissa Piner is a skilled glass blower whose delicate gift conceals a burning inner strength that can destroy as exquisitely as it can create. Commissioned to design chandeliers for a string of luxury hotels, her remarkable skills have taken her to Italy. But Lissa's real mission there is a secret. For her entire life has been a lie, leading to a chance to avenge a terrible wrong.

Enlisted as her bodyguard is Casmir Prakenskii, a trained assassin living off the grid. In Lissa, he sees a kindred spirit—something unexpected and wicked, mysterious and sensual. But more than desire is about to bring them together: because both of their pasts cry out for revenge. And for two people with this many secrets, this much passion, and this many enemies, someone is bound to get burned.

My Review:
Loved reading this book! Another amazing Christine Feehan book with characters that I loved getting to know! We learned a bit about Lissa in Earth Bound, but this was her story, and Casmir, and yeah, I just thoroughly enjoyed them!

The cover! Oh, I like the cover, but I wish that it had some fire in it! Sure it's red, but that's not fire, and that's her element, and it breaks the pattern of the series covers! There could've been candles, or her chandelier could've been pictured more prominently. It just is a little disappointing that fire is missing to my eye!

There were a ton of twists! Like what her uncle did, and his bodyguard. And when we were in the bad guy's POV, that was hard to read, they were pretty vile, and thought horrible things about women. But they got what was coming to them!

Oh, the feels! The good and the bad, but I want to focus on the good! The suprise wedding that he planned! That his brother, Viktor, was able to be there! That he married Blythe, and then went deep under cover for 5 years, and hasn't let her know he was all right? Oh, yeah, that was a really great feeling, and I was beaming reading that scene!

One thing that I thought was really great, was the build up for Forever Bound and the 3rd Sea Haven series. One that I'm really excited about, because that means we get more time with all these characters that we've been getting to know and love, from Sisters of the Heart and Drake Sisters!

One thing I'm wondering about, is the direction of this series, and the next, because the two main bad guys since the beginning-the Sorbacov's are dead now. Well, there is Evan Shackler-Gratdsos and his biker gang which fits with biker gang series! I can't wait to read those books!

So fantastic to read this book, and I can't wait for more!
