Week 49 Review: High Jinx

From Goodreads:
Curse weaver Kennedy Bennett has re-settled into her beloved hometown and opened a shop selling previously hexed antiques. When she fails to win an online auction for a notorious cursed painting, Aiden Connolly—the wealthy and swoon-worthy luck worker she is not dating—swoops in to buy it for her.

Crying Girl is one of a quartet of haunted legendary paintings. Kennedy knows that the "ghosts" are actually curses—fatal ones. The paintings have been missing for years, and Kennedy is thrilled at the chance to uncurse one…until Crying Girl disappears before they can collect it.

Kennedy and Aiden soon discover that the painting hasn't been randomly whisked out of their reach. Someone used it to lure them in, and now that they've snatched the bait, they've been snared in a trap. Either the thief gets what they want…or the four paintings are going to find their way back into the world, and Kennedy and Aiden will be responsible for the deadly chaos the cursed portraits wreak.

My Review:
This book was so much fun to read! I loved delving further into this world with luck workers and curse weavers and immortals who were those that the Greeks worshiped as Gods. It's just such an interesting world and I love these characters!

I've seen posts saying that this was the last book in the series, which is a little sad, I've loved getting to know these characters and this world-my hope would be that each of the Bennett sisters gets books/series, because boy, would I love to get more!

This book dealt with cursed paintings, and Aiden's relationship with his parents, what they expect from him. Between the two, things are a bit of a race against time, so this book was so very easy to devour! I just loved watching them deal with this situation!

We do meet two or three more immortals-mainly Mercy and Athene, which was really great, between them being Kennedy's to-be mentor and ancestor, and her favourite so-called myth! And a few surprising twists and turns. Oh, and the romance blooms! Loved how that came about, that was a little bit funny! And it all worked out so well, considering what they were up against!

Loved reading this book, and I hope we do get more of this world!
