Week 39 Review: One Of Us is Lying

From Goodreads:
The Breakfast Club meets Pretty Little Liars, One of Us Is Lying is the story of what happens when five strangers walk into detention and only four walk out alive. Everyone is a suspect, and everyone has something to hide.

Pay close attention and you might solve this.

On Monday afternoon, five students at Bayview High walk into detention.
Bronwyn, the brain, is Yale-bound and never breaks a rule.
Addy, the beauty, is the picture-perfect homecoming princess.
Nate, the criminal, is already on probation for dealing.
Cooper, the athlete, is the all-star baseball pitcher.
And Simon, the outcast, is the creator of Bayview High's notorious gossip app.

Only, Simon never makes it out of that classroom. Before the end of detention, Simon's dead. And according to investigators, his death wasn't an accident. On Monday, he died. But on Tuesday, he'd planned to post juicy reveals about all four of his high-profile classmates, which makes all four of them suspects in his murder. Or are they the perfect patsies for a killer who's still on the loose?

Everyone has secrets, right? What really matters is how far you would go to protect them.

My first review of One of Us is Lying
My Review:
I really enjoyed reading this book again! I loved it the first time, and reading it again, knowing who had set this is all up, it was so great to watch those pieces come together again! And to get this information so it's fresh in my head for when I read book 3, hopefully soon!

Having read the book before, I knew the gist of what was going on, who was behind in, because it's so clever, but I didn't remember who was helping, so that was something that I had to reread it to find out. Which I was glad to do, because I needed to reread this book anyways since it's been a while since I first read it, and I think the final book in the series has now come out!

I love this cast of characters, they all have their reasons for acting the way that they do, and being under suspicion for killing Simon? That's a cloud that's hanging over them, and I had such a great time watching them deal with that, and also find out the truth!

This was the start of Karen M. McManus' mysteries, and boy, was it a good start! All the little pieces that came together, and how it all worked out, yeah, it was really wonderful to read, and has me so excited to read the sequels!

Loved reading this book again and I can't wait to continue on!
