Week 44 Review: Locke

From Goodreads:
Darkness is the only thing I see. Ever since the day my life changed. The day that everything and everyone I held close to me ceased to exist. The day I lost it all and the demons of my past consumed my every waking moment.

I tried to keep others at arm's length. Tried not to let my darkness taint them. Ruin them. Harm them. And whether I want to admit it or not, as much as I wish I could keep them locked out, they refuse to leave. Refuse to let me suffer alone.

If I hadn't been so focused on keeping those demons from flying free, I wouldn't have missed how one perfect angel was able to sneak her way under my skin—refusing to let go. Making me want things I don't deserve.

She consumes me. Her beauty knows no end. The love she promises tempts me every time she's near. But that pure heart that makes her MY Emmy is the one thing I'm convinced I’ll destroy if I ever let her close.

I'm a broken man. A broken man with too much darkness in his soul to ever let her light shine upon me. But even that doesn't stop me from craving her with every single breath in my body.

My Review:
I really enjoyed this book! I'm pretty sure it's the end of the series, though there's going to be at least one spin off novel, of the second generation, but more on that later. Yeah, it was a good ending, a happy ending for Maddox, who's helped everyone else get their happy ending, and yeah, it was about time!

So, another heroine with a weird name. I mean, Emmersyn? I know she has a former exotic dancer as a mom, and the owner of the establishment that her mom danced at as a dad, but seriously. Not a real name! It annoys me!

So, Maddox has a similar attitude to Greg's-he has piercings. So now I'm wondering if that's going to make the rest of the guys get them, too, which I think Izzy, Dee, and Chelcie would appreciate that! Seeing that Melissa and Emmy really enjoy them!

And finally, the ending! There were a few time skips in it, which was good, because things ended well, and yeah, set up for the conflict in the next book, Unexpected Fate-Cohen, Melissa and Greg's nephew and adopted son, is going on a date with Danielle, Izzy and Axel's daughter! It's going to be so awesome! I know we got a hint of it in the epilogue of Uncaged, but yeah, it's going to be great to have a whole book for that!

I really enjoyed this book, it was a great ending, and I can't wait for the next book!
