Week 10 Review: The Beauty of Darkness

From Goodreads:
The third and final book in the New York Times-bestselling Remnant Chronicles.

Lia has survived Venda—but so has a great evil bent on the destruction of Morrighan. And only Lia can stop it.

With war on the horizon, Lia has no choice but to assume her role as First Daughter, as soldier—as leader. While she struggles to reach Morrighan and warn them, she finds herself at cross-purposes with Rafe and suspicious of Kaden, who has hunted her down.

In this heart-stopping conclusion to the Remnant Chronicles trilogy that started with The Kiss of Deception and The Heart of Betrayal, traitors must be rooted out, sacrifices must be made, and impossible odds must be overcome as the future of every kingdom hangs in the balance.

My Review:
This book was so fantastic to read! I'm glad that I finally got around to reading it! Only took 1 1/2 years! After the ending of the previous book, I had to know how things were going to end, with the kingdoms, and romantically!

Honestly, if this wasn't a book, and if we didn't know that Lia was the good guy, then her rhetoric would be pretty scary! I mean, it's based off of a supernatural knowing, but in our world, when someone says these kinds of things, it's usually said by the bad guys, you know? So glad that Lia is a good person and that her world isn't ours, even if it's a dystopian future of us!

Oh, boy, did Rafe put his foot in his mouth in this book! He does make it up and make the right choices, but in the beginning of this book, oh, man, what he said infuriated me! And Lia, and probably all the female audience, and hopefully all the male audience, too, because there was sexism, and that he didn't care that she had responsibilities to her own country. Bah!

A lot happened in this book! Politics with Rafe's country, Lia getting home and dealing with the fallout from running away from her wedding, ousting the traitors, saving her dad, planning for war! And that final battle, which was so epic! Such a great ending to this series!

Loved this book, it was a great ending to the trilogy, and I can't wait for the spin off series, which looks like it'll be featuring countries that weren't in this book! Yeah! So excited!
