My Review:
I had such a great time reading these books! I hadn't heard of them before the show, and now that they're halfway through season 3, I thought it was a good time to binge the show and read the books! I'm so glad that I did, they were so great to read! And oh, the 2nd epilogues are basically my dream, to have more time with these characters after they get their happy ending!
The Duke & I, yeah, there's that controversial scene. Yes, she took away his choice, but it wasn't planned, it was in the heat of the moment. And while it wouldn't be a method that therapists would chose, it does confront him with the issues he has with his father. In the end, it's a book, and it's a romance, and of course they're going to end up happily together.
The Viscount Who Loved Me was a lot of fun to read. I've since seen the show, and it was interesting to see just how much they pushed him going for her sister vs in the book where at the end of the party, he's engaged to Kate and not her sister, which was fun, especially the way that it happened!
An Offer from a Gentleman, yeah, Benedict story was so enjoyable. That it's a bit of a Cinderella story really had my defenses raised for Sophie, who was really was treated poorly. I adored reading their romance, and oh, Lady Violet was a delight in this book, especially the end!
Loved reading these books and I can't wait to continue on with the series!
