Oh, absolutely! I know I don't like contemporaries, but then I read the synopsis, and FOMO takes hold, and I buy the book, and look and it later, and wonder why. What about you guys? Happy reading!
In that sense, then yes, I have bought books because I thought they sounded good at the time, but by the time I get to them, or even try them, realize they aren't for me after all or I'm no longer interested. But in the literal sense, I always know why I thought I needed to have it. I hope you have a great weekend!

I get the pressure of wanting to read a book everyone is talking about. Forget to read it and then wonder why you buy it in the first place.
