Week 48 Reviews: Restoration, Horde

If you wondered why Fade retreated from Deuce at the end of Outpost, find out in his own words.

The horde is coming.

Salvation is surrounded, monsters at the gates, and this time, they're not going away. When Deuce, Fade, Stalker and Tegan set out, the odds are against them. But the odds have been stacked against Deuce from the moment she was born. She might not be a Huntress anymore, but she doesn't run. With her knives in hand and her companions at her side, she will not falter, whether fighting for her life or Fade's love.

Ahead, the battle of a lifetime awaits. Freaks are everywhere, attacking settlements, setting up scouts, perimeters, and patrols. There hasn't been a war like this in centuries, and humans have forgotten how to stand and fight. Unless Deuce can lead them.

This time, however, more than the fate of a single enclave or outpost hangs in the balance. This time, Deuce carries the banner for the survival of all humanity.

My first review of Horde
My Review:
Oh man, I loved reading these two stories! I love this series so much, and it was really great to read the end of Deuce's story, after what they've been through, they deserve a rest! But oh, do things get difficult before they get better!

Restoration was a bit hard to read, honestly, after what Fade has been through. But he loves Deuce, and it was really great to be in his head! I'm so glad that we got it, because it just added that little something special to the series!

Horde is where things really go down. I loved seeing more of this world, of all these villages in the area that are slowly coming to terms with the threat of the Horde. Of course, the band of warriors that Deuce is building has some setbacks, but I loved watching it grown!

That ending was really unexpected! It was hard, and the battle was intense, and there were quite a few losses-it felt like most of the named cast died besides Deuce, Fade, Tegan and James Marrow. But yeah that there's a 4th book, so we can see what the start of peace will look like!

These were so fantastic, and I can't wait to finish out the series!
