OK, so I got 22 posts in 7 days, so yeah, a pretty decent week, lots of books, and I really enjoyed it! Can't wait for next week! What about you guys? Happy reading!

So this week I want to read Blight, Micah, Danse Macabre, The Harlequin, Blood Noir, Skin Trade, Flirt, Bullet, The Vampire With the Dragon Tattoo, How to Seduce a Vampire (Without Really Trying), Crouching Tiger, Forbidden Vampire, Dragonsworn, The Secret History of Us, and These Things I've Done.

When an agribusiness facility producing genetically engineered food releases a deadly toxin into the environment, seventeen-year-old Tempest Torres races to deliver the cure before time runs out.

Seventeen-year-old Tempest Torres has lived on the AgraStar farm north of Atlanta, Georgia, since she was found outside its gates at the age of five. Now she's part of the security force guarding the fence and watching for scavengers—people who would rather steal genetically engineered food from the Company than work for it. When a group of such rebels accidentally sets off an explosion in the research compound, it releases into the air a blight that kills every living thing in its path—including humans. With blight-resistant seeds in her pocket, Tempest teams up with a scavenger boy named Alder and runs for help. But when they finally arrive at AgraStar headquarters, they discover that there's an even bigger plot behind the blight—and it's up to them to stop it from happening again.

Inspired by current environmental issues, specifically the genetic adjustment of seeds to resist blight and the risks of not allowing natural seed diversity, this is an action-adventure story that is Margaret Atwood's Oryx and Crake meets Nancy Farmer's House of the Scorpion.
RAISING THE DEAD IS EASY. LOVE IS HARD... There are lots of reasons to raise the dead-some private, some public. In this case, the feds have a witness who died before he could speak on the record. They want him raised so his testimony can be taken. So here I am, on a plane to Philadelphia, flying off to do my job. But I'm not alone. Micah is with me. Micah, head of the St. Louis wereleopard pard. King to my Queen. The only one of my lovers who can stir my blood with just a glance from his chartreuse cat's eyes. I was happy to have him at my side. Until he mentioned that this will be our first time alone together. No Master Vampire. No Alpha Werewolf. Just me and Micah. And all my fears and doubts...
These days, Anita Blake is less interested in vampire politics than in an ancient, ordinary dread she shares with women down the ages: she may be pregnant. And, if she is, whether the father is a vampire, werewolf, or something else entirely, it's clear that being a Federal Marshal known for raising the dead and being a vampire executioner is no way to bring up a baby.
Anita Blake is about to face the challenge of her life. Into her world-a world already overflowing with power-have come creatures so feared that powerful, centuries-old vampires refuse to mention their names. It is forbidden to speak of The Harlequin unless you've been contacted. And to be contacted by The Harlequin is to be under sentence of death. Long-time rivals for Anita's affections, Jean-Claude, Master Vampire of the City, and Richard, alpha-werewolf, will need to become allies. Shapeshifters Nathaniel and Micah will have to step up their support. And then there's Edward. In this situation, Anita knows that she needs to call the one man who has always been there for her...
A favor for Jason, vampire hunter Anita Blake's werewolf lover, puts her in the center of a fullblown scandal that threatens master-vampire Jean- Claude's reign-and makes her a pawn in an ancient vampire queen's new rise to power
When a vampire serial killer sends Anita Blake a grisly souvenir from Las Vegas, she has to warn Sin City's local authorities what theyre dealing with. Only its worse than she thought. Ten officers and one executioner have been slain-paranormal style. Anita heads to Vegas, wheres shes joined by three other federal marshals, including the ruthless Edward. Its a good thing he always has her back, because when she gets close to the bodies, Anita senses tiger too strongly to ignore it. The weretigers are very powerful in Las Vegas, which means the odds of her rubbing someone important the wrong way just got a lot higher.
When Anita Blake meets with prospective client Tony Bennington, who is desperate to have her reanimate his recently deceased wife, she is full of sympathy for his loss. Anita knows something about love, and she knows everything there is to know about loss. But what she also knows, though Tony Bennington seems unwilling to be convinced, is that the thing she can do as a necromancer isn't the miracle he thinks he needs. The creature that Anita could coerce to step out of the late Mrs. Bennington's grave would not be the lovely Mrs. Bennington. Not really. And not for long.
Anita Blake is back in St. Louis and trying to live a normal life-as normal as possible for someone who is a legal vampire executioner and a U. S. Marshal. There are lovers, friends and their children, school programs to attend. In the midst of all the ordinary happiness a vampire from Anita's past reaches out. She was supposed to be dead, killed in an explosion, but the Mother of All Darkness is the first vampire, their dark creator. It's hard to kill a god. This dark goddess has reached out to her here-in St. Louis, home of everyone Anita loves most. The Mother of All Darkness has decided she has to act now or never, to control Anita, and all the vampires in America.

The Mother of All Darkness believes that the triumvirate created by master vampire Jean-Claude with Anita and the werewolf Richard Zeeman has enough power for her to regain a body and to immigrate to the New World. But the body she wants to possess is already taken. Anita is about to learn a whole new meaning to sharing her body, one that has nothing to do with the bedroom. And if the Mother of All Darkness can't succeed in taking over Anita's body for herself, she means to see that no one else has the use of it, ever again. Even Belle Morte, not always a friend to Anita, has sent word: "Run if you can..."
He's Out of Control

Dougal Kincaid has something to prove. After being injured in a battle with the Malcontents, he's ready for active duty protecting unsuspecting mortals from these villainous vampires who want to rule the world. But first he has to get control of himself . . . because just the sight of a certain lovely doctor has his injured hand doing some peculiar things, not to mention the sizzling sensation that burns along his dragon tattoo.

Vampires? Vampires?! As a scientist, Leah is having trouble believing that these immortal creatures exist. But there they are, standing in front of her, asking for help in solving a genetic puzzle that can save mankind. There's even one in a sexy kilt! Just one look into Dougal's gorgeous green eyes sets her pulse racing. But can she trust him—and the overwhelming desire that refuses to be ignored?
From New York Times bestselling author Kerrelyn Sparks comes the next adventure in the Love at Stake series, featuring a Master vampire and his love affair with a woman of many secrets . . .

Vampire Zoltan Czakvar is on the hunt for the truth about his father's death. He's been searching for a very long time—since 1241, in fact. And he is not about to give up, even when he's attacked by a woman with striking blue eyes and a hell of a right hook!

Neona is also on the hunt. She's looking for a mate, and she thinks muscled Zoltan will work just fine. After all, men are good for only one thing. Soon, though, she realizes there's more to this handsome vampire than just sexual prowess. But she's keeping a secret from Zoltan, something so big that it will rock the vampire world.

Can their newfound love survive . . . even if their passion means the destruction of her world?
New York Times bestselling author Kerrelyn Sparks delivers the exciting conclusion in the Love at Stake series, where a Marine-turned-vampire finds love with the shifter princess forbidden to him...

Russell wakes from a coma to find he's become a vampire. Now he has a thirst for revenge. Determined to hunt down the master vampire who turned him, he's used to working alone . . . until he meets Jia. She is after the same vampire for murdering her parents and insists she can help Russell on this mission. Reluctantly, he agrees, and sets up some ground rules:

Rule #1: Their partnership is strictly business. If he holds her a little too close . . . if she looks at him with those exotic eyes . . . well, that has to stop.

Rule #2: He's in charge. Jia isn't used to taking orders and questions every move he makes. So he stops her the only way he knows how.

Rule #3: Don't fall in love. But the kiss that was supposed to quiet her awakens something else in him . . . something forbidden. Because Jia is engaged. To someone else.
There is nothing in the universe the cursed dragon, Falcyn, hates more than humanity . . . and in particular, Greek humans. In a war he wanted no part of, they systematically destroyed everything he'd ever cared for. Now he lies in seclusion, away from the world and waits for the day when evolution will finally rid him of the human vermin.

Medea was born the granddaughter of the Greek god Apollo, and among the first of his people that he cursed to die. But she will not let anyone rule her life. Not even her notorious grandfather. And when Apollo sends a new plague to destroy what remains of her people, she refuses to standby and watch him take everything she loves from her again.

This time, she knows of a secret weapon that can stop the ancient god and his army of demons. Once and for all. However, said device is in the hands of a dragon who wants nothing to do with politics, the gods, humanity, demons or Greek Apollites. And especially not her. He is the immovable object.

My enemy's enemy . . .

When Apollo makes a strategic move that backfires, he forces Falcyn back into play. Now Medea either has the weapon she needs to save her people, or she's unleashed total Armageddon. If she can't find some way to control the dragon before it's too late, Falcyn will be an even worse plague on the world than the one Apollo has set loose. But how can anyone control a demonic dragon whose sole birthright is total destruction?
In this gorgeously written, emotional novel that fans of Sarah Dessen will enjoy, a teenage girl must piece together the parts of her life she doesn't remember after a severe collision leaves her with no memory of the past four years.

When Olivia awakes in a hospital bed following a near-fatal car accident, she can't remember how she got there. She figures it's because she was in a coma for a week, but as time goes on, she realizes she's lost more than just the last week of her life—she's lost all memory of events that happened years ago. Gone is any recollection of starting or graduating high school; the prom; or her steady boyfriend Matt. Trying to figure out who she is feels impossible when everyone keeps telling her who she was.

As Liv tries to sort out her family and friends' perceptions of her, the one person she hasn't heard enough from is Walker, the guy who saved her the night her car was knocked off that bridge into the bay below. Walker is the hardened boy who's been keeping his distance and the one person that has made Liv feel like her old self…whoever that is. With feelings growing for Walker, tensions rising with Matt, and secrets she can't help but feel are being kept from her, Olivia must find her place in a life she doesn't remember living.
A haunting and beautiful YA novel that is perfect for fans of Courtney Summers and Jessi Kirby, These Things I've Done is the story of a seventeen-year-old girl who accidentally caused her best friend's death and, a year later, is still grappling with the consequences.

BEFORE: Dara and Aubrey have been inseparable since they became best friends in sixth grade. Dara is the fearless one, Aubrey the prodigy, yet despite their differences, they support each other unconditionally. However, as they begin their sophomore year of high school, cracks in their friendship begin to form, testing the bond they always thought was unbreakable.

AFTER: It's been fifteen months since the accident that killed Aubrey, and not a day goes by that Dara isn't racked with guilt over her role in her best friend's death. Now, after spending a year away from home in order to escape the constant reminders of what happened, Dara is back at her old high school to start her senior year. Dara thought the worst thing about coming home would be confronting the memories of Aubrey that relentlessly haunt her, but she soon realizes it isn't half as difficult as seeing Ethan, Aubrey's brother, every day. Not just because he's a walking reminder of what she did, but because the more her feelings for him change, the more she knows she's betraying her best friend one final time.

Week 30 Reviews: Twilight Fall, Stay the Night

From Goodreads:
Immortal Darkyn Lord Valentin Jaus and landscape artist Liling Harper are two lost souls. Brought together by fate, bound together by passion, Valentin and Liling find solace in each other's arms. But the ties that bind them are deeper—and more dangerous—than either of them can possibly imagine…

From Goodreads:
Outlaw, immortal vampire, and art thief, Darkyn Lord Robin of Locksley has evaded authorities for the last 700 years. At the moment, he's falling for undercover federal agent Christina Renshaw, who has no time for an affair. She hopes to snag an elusive art thief, but soon has no choice other than to join forces with Robin. When the chase becomes dangerous, both will have to choose between losing each other and losing everything they value...

My Review:
I really enjoyed these books. Twilight Fall is not one of my favourite books in the series, since the dynamics of their relationship, I felt was unbalanced and I just didn't really like it. I enjoyed everything else about these two books, though!

I'm glad that both these guys, Valentin and Robin got happy endings, and that their ladies did, too. Valentin espcailly has had a bit of a complicated love life, and yeah, it was great to see them all find happiness, though there were troubles!

There were secrets that they were hiding. Like Liling's whole past and a great deal of who she was, she kept that secret. It did come out, and it was very awesome to read, but yeah, those issues where there. But I'm glad everything worked out in the end for both couples!

I meant to read these books in order. But I kinda messed up and missed some short stories, which I'l read out of order. Oh, well. I mean, I wish it hadn't happened, but there's no going back. I just wanted to explain and complain about it!

Yeah, really great books, and I can't wait to finish this series and then move on to the spin offs!

Week 30 Review: Kill the Boy Band

From Goodreads:
Just know from the start that it wasn't supposed to go like this. All we wanted was to get near them. That's why we got a room in the hotel where they were staying.

We were not planning to kidnap one of them. Especially not the most useless one. But we had him—his room key, his cell phone, and his secrets.

We were not planning on what happened next.

We swear.

From thrilling new talent Goldy Moldavsky comes a pitch-black, hilarious take on fandom and the badass girls who have the power to make—or break—the people we call "celebrities."

My Review:
This book was pretty hilarious! Just everything about it, the fans and how they obsessed over the band, and yeah, kidnapping a member and everything that happened, it was just hilarious! The super fans were just a little bit crazy, or maybe a lot! The way it was written, too,

I really enjoyed the narration, it was just hilarious! And as the situation just kept escalating, it was like, what else could they have done? They were teenagers, and while things may not have been what they seemed, well, teenagers don't have their brains fully developed!

The band members are all named Rupert, and it was a struggle at first to keep them all seperate, and all the details that we learned about each one, which girl liked who, what skills they had, because each of the Ruperts were pretty important to this plot!

There were two things going on in this book that weren't prominent, but crept in. The romance between the narrator and her Rupert, and the motives behind what was happening. Well, and who killed the kidnapped Rupert. And then it all came together to a great endign!

I just absolutely loved reading this book, it was fantastic!

Week 30 Review: Can't Let Go

From Goodreads:
New York Times bestselling author Gena Showalter is back with a sizzling Original Heartbreakers tale about an icy war vet and the only woman capable of melting him...

With trust issues a mile long, Ryanne Wade has sworn off men. Then Jude Laurent walks into her bar, and all bets are off. The former army ranger has suffered unimaginably, first being maimed in battle then losing his wife and daughters to a drunk driver. Making the brooding widower smile is priority one. Resisting him? Impossible.

For Jude, Ryanne is off-limits. And yet the beautiful bartender who serves alcohol to potential motorists tempts him like no other. When a rival bar threatens her livelihood—and her life—he can't turn away. She triggers something in him he thought long buried, and he's determined to protect her, whatever the cost.

As their already scorching attraction continues to heat, the damaged soldier knows he must let go of his past to hold on to his future…or risk losing the second chance he desperately needs.

My Review:
I loved reading this book! I mean, I love all Gena Showalter books! I just really enjoyed reading about Ryanne and Jude! They were a fantastic couple with real life issues, and yeah, they were just amazing together!

Wow, we were introduced to both Jude and Ryanne in the previous book, but it didn't quite capture the sparks that flew between them! They were both attracted to the other, but Jude disapproved of her choices in running a bar, and she didn't like his disapproval. It does make sense! But they worked at it!

Ryanne wants to see the world, and she's just about to, and that's just so great! But she also has trouble with her bar, because someone is starting a strip club, and wants to buy her out. And since he's not a nice guy, it causes issues!

I really enjoyed watching them give into their feelings, and also deal with everything that they're facing! It was just an amazing read, and I'm so glad that everything worked out, that was just the best! So great to read!

I just loved reading this book, and I can't wait for the 6th book!

Week 30 Reviews: Cerulean Sins, Incubus Dreams

From Goodreads:
Anita learns what it's like to be at the new end of a centuries-old bloodline-and just how far she'll let herself get pushed around. How the mighty have fallen! Once a sworn enemy of all vampires, Anita is now the human consort of both Jean-Claude, the Master Vampire, and Micah, the leopard shapeshifter. But her love life doesn't stop there. It can't. For Anita-not quite as human as she once was-is consumed by both the lusts of the vampire and the primal hungers of the wereleopards. Desires that must be sated-time and time again. But it is Jean-Claude who needs her now. His oldest ancestor has sent one of her vicious and powerful underlings to St. Louis, putting Jean-Claude and his clan on the defensive. Unsure of where she stands with the interloper, Anita finds herself tested as never before-needing all the dark forces her passion can muster to save the ones she loves the most.

From Goodreads:
Anita's life is more complicated than ever, as she is caught between her obligations to the living and the undead. A vampire serial killer who preys on strippers is on the loose. Called in to consult on the case, Anita fears her judgment may be clouded by a conflict of interest. For she is, after all, the consort of Jean-Claude, the ever-intoxicating Master Vampire of the City. Surrounded by suspicion, overwhelmed by her attempts to control the primal lusts that continue to wrack her, Anita does something unprecedented: she calls for help.

My Review:
I enjoyed these books. They are a marked change from the previous books in the series, but yeah, they were really fantastic to read! They most definitely won't be for everyone, because there's a lot of sex and issues regarding her guys, but yeah, really great to read!

In these books, there's not really a mystery in either one, or at least, it's not really a focus. More, Anita has to deal with the ardeur, which  is a really big complication. It's added a bunch of titles like Leopard Queen, and a bunch of guys. I liked Micah and Nathaniel and the relationship she has with them, it's just it changed her life a lot!

Anita messes up a lot, She doesn't understand the powers, and she views herself as a monster, more and more, because of what she can do, and what she's done. It's not easy, and it's going to keep on as something for her to work on for many more books in the series!

There was a lot of politics in these books, the first vampire and personal politics. There was also some tension between her and Dolph, because he doesn't approve of her choices. These people have been with her a lot, and it hurts when things aren't going right. But there's many more books!

I enjoyed reading these books so much, and I can't wait to read more!

Week 30 Reviews: Vampire Mine, Sexiest Vampire Alive, Wanted: Undead or Alive, Wild About You

From Goodreads:
Nothing on earth can make this vampire fall in love . . .

After 499 years of existence, Connor Buchanan has arrived at an inescapable conclusion: he is a cold-hearted SOB. He's been watching his friends—those poor romantic fools—plummet off the cliff into love like a dazed herd of sheep. But not Connor. He knows that love leads to nothing but heartache.

Until Marielle . . .

She is an angel cast down from heaven for disobedience. Trapped in mortal form, she finds a protector in Connor, a Scottish vampire haunted by a dark past. Marielle hopes to heal his broken heart and earn her way back home, but suddenly she has these . . . feelings. This strange yet pleasant physical yearning—for a vampire! Is this the work of a demon luring her into hell, or has this angel found heavenly bliss?

From Goodreads:
The secret is out . . . Vampires do exist!

When a video reveals to the world that vampires live among us, it's up to "young" vamp Gregori Holstein, VP of Marketing, to persuade the U.S. government to declare the video a hoax. But first the president wants a favor, one that requires Gregori to spend forty-eight hours in very close contact with the First Daughter.

Abby Tucker would rather spend her nights in a lab than attend her father's state dinners. She's dedicated her life to finding a cure that will save her dying mother and needs only two more ingredients. To find them, she'll have to venture into the most dangerous region of the world—with a vampire. Her Armani-clad escort may be Undead, but he still makes her heart race. And the greatest danger won't be the predatory hordes lying in wait for them; it will be her undying desire for the Sexiest Vampire Alive.

From Goodreads:
The twelfth book in the Love at Stake stars Phineas McKinney, aka Dr. Phang! Finally, the Love Doctor gets a dose of his own medicine!

In the last book, Sexiest Vampire Alive, the vamps were busy with damage control. After Corky Courrant posted a video that proved their existence, they convinced the American government to declare it a hoax. Now in Wanted: Undead or Alive it's time to go after Corky Courrant and make her pay for her crime.

When Corky escapes, the vamps search for her in Eastern Europe and Russia. Phineas is left behind, minding the fort, when a clue comes in. Could Corky be hiding in Wyoming? With all the other guys gone, it's up to Phineas to investigate. He pairs up with female werewolf Brynley Jones, and together, the two set off on a wild adventure that will put their lives on the line and their hearts at stake. Will they fall in love or kill each other before catching up with Corky?

From Goodreads:
Handsome Howard...
Hunky Howard...
Hot Howard...

It's not every day that Elsa Bjornberg feels delicate, not when she hosts a home renovation show where she can effortlessly demolish a kitchen. But from the moment she meets Howard Barr, this bear of a man makes her feel like a woman. And the way he looks at her, as if she were a pot of honey he'd like to lick...

Howard is not like most men. For one thing, he's a shapeshifter. And he always thought his celebrity crush would never amount to anything more than drooling at Elsa on TV. When his meddling vampire employer gets involved, the star is suddenly within his grasp—and within a hair of her life. For an ancient curse forbids their newfound love, and Howard is suddenly torn between his desire for her and his desire to keep her alive.

My Review:
Oh wow, some really fantastic books! I think Wild About You was my most recent favourite of the series, and yeah, it was just a little bit better for me, but they were all really fantastic and enjoyable! Lots happened in them, and they were just really great!

Each of these couples were really interesting to read about! For Brynley and Phineas, we'd kinda gotten a bit of development in previous books of their upcoming relationship, but for the rest of them, one side of the couple was new to the series, which was really great!

These books have a lot of big things going on! Like the big bad was defeated! Which caused a few problems, like it outed vampires, which in turn led to the plot of Sexiest Vampire Alive, and working with the White House. Yeah, lots going on, and just so great to read!

These couples had to face a lot of obstacles, from the fact that they're different species, to their families, and yeah, I really enjoyed watching them come together! It was just so fantastic to watch them go on these journeys!

Such great books, and this is such a fantastic series, and I can't wait to finish the series up!
