Monthly ARC's Update 103
So I read my next book for Monthly ARC's and it was The Afterdark by E. Latimer from the January list, Cursebound by Saara El-Arifi from the February list, and Wheel of the Infinite by Martha Wells from the November list.
Here's the link to this month's post with my journey.

How it Works:
This is my monthly ARC accountability challenge, to list out the books that I have as ARC's that are being published in the coming month, rounding them up at the start of the month, and seeing how well I did at the end, as well as rounding up the next month's books.
Book Blogger Hop #378, January 3rd
The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer's permission, Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the meme on February 15, 2013. Check out the hop here!
Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
The Question of the week is: It's 2025; are you looking forward to any highly anticipated book releases or reading events in January or the following months? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)
Of course I'm looking forward to Onyx Storm, that's the big one. There's a few others, but that's the big one. What about you guys? Happy reading!
First Lines Friday #712, January 3rd
First Lines Friday is a bookish meme hosted by Literary Marie of Precision Reviews. We encourage all of our fellow book bloggers and bookhearts to play along.
-Grab your current read(s)-Share the first line(s)
-Include the title and author so that other FLF participants can add the book to their TBR Lists!
"'The first time, you can’t believe how much it hurts.' Deenie's legs are shaking, but she tries to hide it, pushing her knees together, her hand hot on her thigh. Six other girls are waiting. A few have done it before, but most are like Deenie."-The Fever by Megan Abbott
That sounds pretty ominous! I need to read more, to understand what is going on! What about you guys? Happy reading!

Random Reads #685, January 2nd
Random Reads is a monthly meme (that I'm going to do weekly) hosted by I'm Loving Books to read some books that have been on our TBR piles for a long time. Using Random.org, I got 1211 which turned out to be Now and For Never by Lesley Livingston! It's been on my TBR pile since December 5th, 2013, and I added it because I love her writing and the series! What about you guys? Happy reading!
Third Sentence Thursday #699, January 2nd
Third Sentence Thursday is a weekly meme which likes to watch fireworks especially while eating a cookie!
1) Take the book you are currently reading and open it to a random page. Share the third full sentence on that page. (If there isn't a third one – like at the end of a chapter or a blank page – you can share the third sentence of the book or just choose another random page.) Feel free to share more than one sentence, if you feel the need to do so.
2) Review this sentence anyway you want (funny and silly reviews encouraged)
3) Post a link to your sentence at Words I Write Crazy (This Blog)
4) Visit one or two of the other blogs to check out their third sentences!
"I haven't been with the Adversary for seven years, but It does take care of Its own." -Wheel of the Infinite by Martha Wells, page 26.
Well, that could be good or bad, because 7 years is a long time. Must read omre now! What are your guy's 3rd lines? Link up below!

Will the Time Come #709, January 2nd
Every Thursday I am going to list a book which I really want to read/keep meaning to get to. These are mostly books which have been on my shelf for awhile now but don't have to be, maybe you got it two weeks ago and really want to read it! Thanks to Jodie from Books for Company for this meme!

In this Egyptian-inspired debut fantasy, a fugitive queen strikes a deadly bargain with her greatest enemy and finds herself embroiled in a complex game that could resurrect her scorched kingdom or leave it in ashes forever.
Ten years ago, the kingdom of Jasad burned. Its magic outlawed; its royal family murdered down to the last child. At least, that’s what Sylvia wants people to believe.
The lost Heir of Jasad, Sylvia never wants to be found. She can’t think about how Nizahl’s armies laid waste to her kingdom and continue to hunt its people—not if she wants to stay alive. But when Arin, the Nizahl Heir, tracks a group of Jasadi rebels to her village, staying one step ahead of death gets trickier.
In a moment of anger Sylvia’s magic is exposed, capturing Arin’s attention. Now, to save her life, Sylvia will have to make a deal with her greatest enemy. If she helps him lure the rebels, she’ll escape persecution.
A deadly game begins. Sylvia can’t let Arin discover her identity even as hatred shifts into something more. Soon, Sylvia will have to choose between the life she wants and the one she left behind. The scorched kingdom is rising, and it needs a queen.
Why the time hasn't come yet...
It's a debut that is getting it's sequel this year, so there's not much to remind me of it's existence, and there's just so many to read! But it sounds really good and I want to read it! What about you guys? Happy reading!

Monthly Series Master List 2025
In 2025, I going to continue to focus on continuing series. Each month, I'll chose a series that I was current on in a previous year, but has since been continued. A series that I started or continued, but didn't catch up with what was currently published. A series that I haven't touched since 2020. A series that I read from this year, but still need to continue. A series that I haven't started yet, but have been meaning to. Then each month, I'll do one more series from one of these types, so I have 2, it'll just depend on what I'm planning on reading that month. The goal is to finish out as many series as I can, and keep current on the series that are still ongoing.
I'll read at least 1 book for each series, and a max of 3. If that series still has more to read, then it'll go back to be selected in another month, but if I catch up with the series, I'll take it off.
Here on this post, I'll have the master list of what series I picked each month, and I'll also post the status on whether I finished the series, caught up, or still have more books to go, and how many books I read.

25 Books to Read in 2025
So time to make 2025's list. Again, I didn't read a decent chunk of last year (and I still haven't finished any list) but I still continue to soldier on!
This is my version of These Books Will Self Destruct in 12 months without the self destruct. I wanted to read books that I've had for a while, that I really needed to get read, but maybe I forgot about them or that I had them. So I have 2 lists, one for each way I have them, as physical books, and as ARC's, half NetGalley ARCs, and half Edelweiss ARCs.
So here they are:

ARC's:

A-Z Reading Challenge 2025
Yeah, still not much progress with this, but I ever have hope to get through the alphabet and start over again!
How it Works:
Read 27 books this year (easy right) One for each letter of the alphabet and one starting with an Arabic number. If there aren't any unread books for the difficult letters, then a book that has a title with that letter in it counts.
Once all the letters and the number have been read, it's time to start again!
My Journey:
O: Oceanborn by Amalie Howard-review.

Last Letter, First Letter Reading Challenge 2025
Again, only a couple of books were read, with books still from the beginning, I really need to read these books!
What it is:
You pick a book, read it. Then you look at the last letter of the title, for example, "The Adventures of Tom Saywer." Then you take that last letter, and search you TBR piles for a book starting with the last letter, so continuing the example, someone could read "Rotters" next, and then a title that starts with "s."
Rules:
1. Have fun!
2. Read!
3. The last letter of the book you read must be the first letter of the next book you read.
4. Words like "the," "a," "and," and those such don't count as the first letter.
Some other details:
Sounds like fun? Hopefully! This way, well, there's always going to be a last letter of a title, even if you have to spell out a number. And our TBR piles should hopefully go down a bit!
And if anyone would like to participate (hopefully you do!) leave a link or something? And a plea is going out: if people like this reading challenge (and I hope I'm not copying someone else's meme) would they please create a banner/picture thing for it since I'm helpless at that sort of thing? Thanks!
For me, I'll start with Perfect Lies, and go on from there, though probably not going to go in order!
Yep. Happy reading!

Best Books Read in 2024
I read a good number of books this year, only just under what I read last year, which isn't taking it easy, but I had to keep reading!
I read books from January to December, and of those, were the ones that I absolutely loved, be it writing, thinking about it after, how much I'm anticipating any sequels or other books by the author, or the emotions it evoked, like "I hate that villain, they're so bad! HATEHATEHATE!!!! Yep.
So here's those books in alphabetical order so there's no strangeness among them!
