Week 14 Review: The Hunt

From Goodreads:
Don't Sweat. Don't Laugh. Don't draw attention to yourself. And most of all, whatever you do, do not fall in love with one of them.

Gene is different from everyone else around him. He can't run with lightning speed, sunlight doesn't hurt him and he doesn't have an unquenchable lust for blood. Gene is a human, and he knows the rules. Keep the truth a secret. It's the only way to stay alive in a world of night—a world where humans are considered a delicacy and hunted for their blood.

When he's chosen for a once in a lifetime opportunity to hunt the last remaining humans, Gene's carefully constructed life begins to crumble around him. He's thrust into the path of a girl who makes him feel things he never thought possible—and into a ruthless pack of hunters whose suspicions about his true nature are growing. Now that Gene has finally found something worth fighting for, his need to survive is stronger than ever—but is it worth the cost of his humanity?

My Review:
This was a really fantastic book! So great! The idea that the majority of the population are vampires, while humans are quickly becoming extinct...yeah. Not the most positive for humanity, it made for some really entertaining reading! And Gene even makes a comment about it about the opposite, and yeah, that was really great!

Just the idea that a human pretending to be a vampire is one of the ones that's selected to hunt some of the last remaining humans, is just kinda funny. And with the twist, just makes it all the more! Loved that a lot! And then the various things that went on in this book because of that!

The romance was really great! What with the whole vampire element there, but then there was the twist right there going into the ending, that just flipped things on his head! Just so great! I loved that a lot! And it's going to make the next book really interesting!

I just loved reading this book a lot, and while that was a pretty great ending, I just want more!
