Becca's Spookoplathon September 2024 Round Sign Up

Time for another round for the month of September, and I'm so excited to participate again! Here's the video with all the details. This is my unofficial round, the official round is in October, but I want to roll as I go in October like I've previously done, and I still wanted to do a set number of rolls, so I'm doing an unofficial round now!

I'm going to do 15 rolls, unless I get any doubles, at least for now. If, halfway through the month, I feel like I want more, I'll do however many more rolls I feel I can read books for, and go from there, and add those books here, because I want to have all the books I pick in one place. And I can double up with Wheel of TBR picks except if Game TBR comes up, and I'll do a spin for it! And I've decided that like last year, I'm going to do 15 rolls this month, and then next month, I'm going to roll as I go again! .

For my first roll, here's what I got:
Starting on Go, a 7, which got me to Chance Card. Using a random item selector, I got The Village Library Demon-Hunting Society by C.M. Waggoner, so I'll be reading that!

For my second roll, here's what I got:
A 7, which got me to Ghostface. I chose The Whispering Night by Susan Dennard, whispering is a noise word, yeah!

For my third roll, here's what I got:

A 9 which got me to Broomstick. I chose Mikoto and the Reaver Village by Forthright, this cover is pretty simple, so that works.

For my fourth roll, here's what I got:
A 7, which got me to Dice Roll Roulette. Here's what I rolled:
A 6. I'm going with Bat Eater and Other Names for Cora Zeng by Kylie Lee Baker, it's 304 pages, so that's in the range!

For my fifth roll, here's what I got:
A 8 (and a double, which means I have 16 rolls now), which got me to Most Recent Purchase. I chose The Shadows Rule All by Abigail Owen, I was just invited to review it today, so it is one of most recent books to come in my possession!

For my sixth roll, here's what I got (I somehow lost it and had to reroll, but this wasn't a double, so it didn't change how many rolls, but all prompts. Oh well):
A 10, which got me to Present. I chose The Highlander's Return by Lynsay Sands, this book comes out on the 24th, so that works!

For my seventh roll, here's what I got:
A 4, which got me to Poll Pick. I gave a poll, and Nightstrider by Sophia Slade is the option that won, so I'll be reading it!

For my eighth roll, here's what I got:
A 7, which got me to Bone. I chose Kill Me Again by Maggie Shayne, this cover is mainly white, so I'll count that for this prompt.

For my ninth roll, here's what I got:
A 9, which got me to Mood Read. I'll add a book here that I just need to read. I chose A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson, I just want to reread this book so much!

For my tenth roll, here's what I got:
A 10 (and a double, which means I have 17 rolls now), which got me to Most Recent Purchase. I chose Poison Ivy by Steffanie Holmes, this is another recent ARC that I've received.

For my eleventh roll, here's what I got:
A 7, which got me to Pumpkin Carving. I chose A Dark and Starless Forest by Sarah Hollowell, this has a face on the cover.

For my twelfth roll, here's what I got:
A 6, which got me to Leatherface. I chose Taminko and the Two Janitors by Forthright, this is very much about family!

For my thirteenth roll, here's what I got:
A 3, which got me to Blood. I chose Demon's Bluff by Kim Harrison, this cover is red, so I'll use that!

For my fourteenth roll, here's what I got:
A 3 which got me to Pentacle. I chose Dark Hope by Christine Feehan, I haven't read it, but I know I'm going to love it!

For my fifteenth roll, here's what I got:
A 6 (and a double, which means I have 18 rolls now), which got me to Grady Hendrix. I chose We Sold Our Souls by Grady Hendrix, I just had to, the prompt is named after him!

For my sixteenth roll, here's what I got:
A 5, which got me to Spooky. I chose A Grim Reaper's Guide to Catching a Killer by Maxie Dara, it's a mystery with a grim reaper, that sounds spooky!

For my seventeenth roll, here's what I got:
A 3, which got me to Seance. I got the letter C, and I chose The Cold Light of Day by Anna Lee Huber, cold starts with C.

For my eighteenth roll, here's what I got:
A 2 (and a double, which means I have 19 rolls now), which got me to Big Book. I chose The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri, it's 512 pages, so that works!

For my nineteenth roll, here's what I got:

A 3, which got me to Go. Because we're halfway through the month, I'm going to randomize all the other books left on my other TBR's, and it'll pick a book from that. Extreme Makeover by Dan Wells was picked, so that's what I'll be reading!

I love comments, so comment away! I'll comment back if you leave a post-specific link for me to visit! If you leave that link, I'll always comment back, even if it's like, a month late!

This is an award free blog! Thanks for thinking of me but I just don't have the time to pass it along!
