First Lines Friday #233, January 1st

First Lines Friday is a bookish meme hosted by Literary Marie of Precision Reviews. We encourage all of our fellow book bloggers and bookhearts to play along.

-Grab your current read(s)
-Share the first line(s)
-Include the title and author so that other FLF participants can add the book to their TBR Lists!

"My mom drove me to the airport with the windows rolled down. Though it was January everywhere else, it was seventy-five degrees in Phoenix, and the sky was bright blue. I had on my favorite t-shirt—the Monty Python one with the swallows and the coconut that Mom got me two Christmases ago. It didn't quite fit anymore, but that didn't matter. I wouldn't be needing t-shirts again soon." -Life and Death by Stephenie Meyer

So a very similar opening to Twilight, but a bit different because it's Beau, not Bella! What about you guys? Happy reading!

  1. Yay! First FLF of the year! Thanks, Louisa.

Oh, I attempted to read this. Way similar opening and book to Twilight. Do you like it?

  2. :) And it is Twilight but sex-switched, but not too many differences from Twilight :) And I did, but I like Twilight, too :)

I love comments, so comment away! I'll comment back if you leave a post-specific link for me to visit! If you leave that link, I'll always comment back, even if it's like, a month late!

This is an award free blog! Thanks for thinking of me but I just don't have the time to pass it along!
