A new winter holiday, enemies-to-lovers romance, from the undeniably funny and always spicy, USA Today bestselling author, Meghan Quinn.
Every Kringle in Kringletown loved Christmas a lot.
But Cole Black on Whistler Lane, unfortunately did not.
Cole was a recluse during the Kringle Christmas season.
No one knew why, no one could quite give a reason.
Martha said it was because he was alone and very single.
Mae believed it was because he was never named the town Kringle.
But to me, the reason is a storyline far too sad.
For at the age of eighteen, he lost both mom and dad.
Whatever the reason, his parents or being single,
He spends Christmas in the dark, hating the cheery people of Kringle.
More to come.
My Review:
This was such a fun read! I wasn't planning on reading it, but it was one that I could pick, and it sounded like it would be a good time, and it was, I had such a great time with this enemies-to-lovers romance set in the holidays!
This is exactly what a Christmas romance should be, it was lighthearted, and a lot of fun! Storee was the sunshine of the romance, and Cole was the grump, and with the holiday cheer, I really enjoyed their romance, it was just a delight!
Oh, but the fact that he went into this competition, to be everything he's not, to keep her from winning, that was icing on the cake. All the Christmas-themed competitions, it was joyful to read! And when you add in the fake dating, yeah, it added just the right element to the story!
There were some serious moments, because he does have a reason for his less-than-festive manner. Just a touch of seriousness, but enough that it wasn't overwhealmingly sweet, which is great, because that's not to my tastes.
