Week 19 Review: Strange New World

From Goodreads:
Dahlia 16's life is a lie. The city of Lakeview isn't a utopia that raises individuals for the greater good; it is a clone farm that mass-produces servants for the elite. And because Dahlia breaks the rules, her sisters--the 4,999 girls who share her face--are destroyed. She and Trigger 17, the soldier who risked his life for hers, go on the run, escaping into the wild outside the city walls. But it turns out Dahlia has one remaining identical, one who shouldn't even exist.

Waverly Whitmore is teenage royalty, a media sensation with millions of fans who broadcasts her every move--including every detail of her wedding planning, leading up to the day she marries Hennessy Chapman. Waverly lives a perfect life built on the labors of clones like Dahlia. She has no idea that she too is a clone . . . until she comes face to face with Dahlia.

One deadly secret. Two genetic sisters. And a world that isn't big enough for both of them.

My Review:
This book was so fantastic! I loved the first one, and after that ending, I was so excited to read this book! It totally delivered, and I'm really glad that we got to alternate POV's between Dahlia and Waverly, because they both had important viewpoints to bring to the table!

I really enjoyed reading this book with the truth known to Dahlia and Trigger, and as they explore the real world. But even those that've been a part of that world their whole lives-like Waverly, don't know the whole truth. A truth hat is pretty horrifying-that the clones have their emotions repressed, and that they're genetically designed to die after a certain number of years. Awful!

The family dynamics that the Whtmores have, they're the kind of family you want to have, you know? Sure, there's drama, but they're close. I love her dad's view on the clones, but not so much her mom's! And how Dahlia got injected into the family pretending to be Waverly to the outside world, and the events and wedding planning that she had to do! Yeah, it was interesting to read!

That ending was pretty high-stakes. I love how she used her platform to show the compound to the outside world. It made for a perfect ending to the book! After everything that they'd been through, they all deserved happy endings so I'm so glad that they got them!

This book was so fantastic, and I enjoyed reading it so much!
