Kaitlynn O'Conner was the elusive woman of many a man's dreams. Lucky for forensics guy Nate Morby, he was the man of her dreams too. When he arrives at her house and finds evidence that she's been kidnapped, he believes there is a connection to a case he is currently working on. The most gruesome case he’s had to deal with in years. Time is of the essence as Kaitlynn fights for her life, and Nate fights to find her.
My Review:
Ok, I'll be honest, I didn't enjoy this book as I could have at first, mostly because almost the first half was all lovey-dovey romance, and by the time she was kidnapped, I was kinda looking forward to the break to the romance. I know, bad me, but the kidnapping is more interesting, personally, because it's more gritty, instead of perfect, and up until the kidnapping point, everything was smooth sailing in paradise, and it was just too perfect, you know? There's supposed to be something about one that irritates the other, or a silly habit, or something. Don't get me wrong, it was very sweet, and cute, but it got annoying after the first 50 pages, but then the greater part of the novel more then made up for it! Lots of mystery, thrilling life-threatening scenes, and just excellent!
The deaths were sad, but it is a murder mystery novel, so you definitely feel for the characters, and the characters who didn't get names, but we know what they went through because we read it with Kaitlynn experiencing it. If only to read the second half, read this book, because there's the question of survival, in the cold, in the bruising conditions from fighting back, this was a fantastic murder mystery novel!
And that there was a 3/4 happy ending, what with the sadness and the loss, and the hardships that she endured, so 3/4s is a very good amount of happiness, considering, and that, what with the beginning and all the happiness there, was pretty good, and totally completed the book, and the romance, just brought it altogether, and richened the experience of reading it!
The second half of this book was fantastic, and if you like/enjoy sweet couples, and murder mysteries, then this is the book for you! And I have a review of it below, so you will have a change to win it!
